The schlubby sheriff from ‘Stranger Things’ got absolutely YOLKED for his new role
Remember Sheriff Hopper, the affable Schlitz-swilling lawman from last year’s surprise supernatural hit, Stranger Things? Well, Hopper—or, more accurately, actor David Harbour—raised a few eyebrows when it was announced he would play the titular demon-hunting demon in the upcoming Hollywood reboot of Hellboy earlier this year. Why? Because this is Hellboy…
FacebookPinterest…and this is David Harbour…
FacebookPinterestOr at least it was David Harbour until David Harbour went out and got ferociously, tank-tearingly massive in two months in order to prepare for the role. But how big of a difference can eight weeks, a mad scientist personal trainer, and every semi-legal supplement known to man really make, you ask?

The nakedest Rolling Stone covers ever
After nearly 50 years of culture-shaping publication, Wenner Media on Sunday officially parked Rolling Stone at the end of the driveway and stuck a “For Sale” sign in the jammed, dusty window. There will be major changes afoot for the American entertainment 'zine in the coming weeks, but rest assured, some things will simply never be forgotten…and we're not talking about the album reviews or the election coverage.
You see, when aliens unearth our time capsules on this abandoned planet 500 years from now, it won't be Godsmack or Bob Dole that offers the most insight about the great civilization that once thrived beneath their green, thirteen-toed feet—it will be the stripped-down, oiled-up nudie covers that remain seared into the brain of every current and former 16-year-old human male, even now, in Rolling Stone's hour of utmost irrelevancy. So in that spirit, we'll shut up, and let some of sexiest covers in Rolling Stone history do the eye-f—ing talking. Enj..
Watch Vlade Divac make a backwards, half-court shot like it’s no big deal
Between a feathery shooting touch and a knack for no-look passes out of the post, Vlade Divac was always somewhat of a wizard as a big man. What the Sacramento Kings general manager showed a group of kids at a basketball clinic over the weekend, though, was sheer magic.

Watch as Divac takes a basketball, turns his back to the hoop, and casually drains a half-court shot over his head:

As a 35-year-old adult, I'm beyond impressed. But imagine if you're one of those kids? They just saw a real-life giant make a seemingly impossible shot.
Good stuff, Vlade. Now if only that magical touch extended to putting together a competitive roster, the Kings would be in business this season.

Fall a great time for golf in San Diego
SAN DIEGO (AP) Summer sends vacationers flocking to San Diego, many of them bringing their golf clubs with them. Mild temperatures, great courses, superb conditions. What’s not to love?
But there may be a better time to head to San Diego for golf: Fall.
The courses are still in great shape, crowds are smaller, deals abound and the humid, cool and sometimes overcast weather known as the marine layer isn’t quite so persistent.
”It’s the perfect time to play golf in San Diego,” said Shawn Cox, director of golf at The Grand Golf Club in Del Mar. ”You’re getting the benefit of the perfect weather, the courses are in great shape and at offseason prices.”
San Diego has become one of the world’s top golf destinations, with around 90 courses in diverse settings from the beaches to the mountains. The list of courses includes some of the best in the country, including The Grand, Maderas Golf Club, La Costa Spa and Resort, Aviara Golf Club and Coronado Municipal. The most recognizable is u..
With another big win, Leishman takes game to a new level
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Marc Leishman allowed himself to dream of being among the best, even if there were times that that looked a long way off.
It’s hard to think about trophies while working the graveyard shift.
That was one of the jobs Leishman took early in his career in Australia, when he needed money to pay for entry fees. He operated a laser that cut thick sheets of metal into various shapes. One wrong move could mean the loss of a limb, tough work for an aspiring golfer, especially at $10 an hour working from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
”It was hard work – and hard staying awake,” he said. ”That wasn’t too good for my golf, so that lasted a week.”
His best golf looked a long way off when Leishman first came to Chicago as a PGA Tour rookie. He made eagle on the final hole of the second FedEx Cup playoff event to narrowly advance to the BMW Championship. He played in the final group with Tiger Woods, and it was first time Leishman was nervous on the golf course.

Leishman wins BMW Championship and sets sight on $10 million
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Marc Leishman put the finishing touches on his best year in golf and already was looking ahead to make it even better.
With his wire-to-wire, five-shot victory in the BMW Championship – his first tournament after losing a two-shot lead on the back nine at the TPC Boston – Leishman now is in range to capture the FedEx Cup and its $10 million bonus this week at East Lake in the Tour Championship.
All he has to do is win.
Leishman not only won for the second time this year, he has the No. 4 seed this week for the FedEx Cup finale. While everyone in the 30-man field has a mathematical chance of claiming golf’s richest prize, the top five seeds only have to win to capture the cup.
The way Leishman has been playing, it doesn’t seem out of reach.
At his side were two trophies – one from the BMW Championship, the other from the Western Golf Association, which has run this tournament since 1899.
”I had my sights set high for the FedEx Cup and trying to get int..
This video of Phil Mickelson cutting off Tiger Woods’ first-tee introduction at the 2002 Tour Championship never gets old
Editor's note: This post first appeared in 2016. Sadly, neither Tiger Woods nor Phil Mickelson will play in the 2017 Tour Championship, but we'll always have this moment at East Lake between the two legends.
There have been plenty of great moments in the history of the Tour Championship, which begins on Thursday. Bill Haas' incredible watery par save in 2011. Hal Sutton's brilliant tee shot on the long par-3 18th at East Lake in a playoff against Vijay Singh in 1998. And Phil Mickelson edging Tiger Woods in 2000 just to name a few. But there's an underrated one that also involved Phil and Tiger that you almost certainly don't remember. And it happened before either of them hit a single shot one year.
In 2002, the two superstars were paired together in the event and on the first tee at East Lake on Thursday, the starter began rattling off all of Woods' accomplishments that season. After listing Woods' fifth and most recent win of the year at the A..

Kevin Durant accidentally bashes Oklahoma City Thunder from his own Twitter account
Ronald MartinezKevin Durant's three-pointer over LeBron James in transition during Game 5 of the NBA Finals was the defining moment of the season. But apparently, KD isn't as smooth when it comes to transitioning between Twitter accounts.
That's the most logical explanation for what happened late Sunday night when Durant responded to a 16-year-old basketball fan by bashing his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, from his own Twitter account. In the third person. Whoops.

Durant knocked the Thunder as an organization. He knocked its coach, Billy Donovan. And he knocked the team's roster, minus 2017 NBA MVP Russell Westbrook. Here are the tweets that the Golden State Warriors superstar immediately deleted:
