Bryson DeChambeau explains why he needed a towel guy as only Bryson DeChambeau can
Golf fans were intrigued, but certainly not shocked, when a screengrab of Bryson DeChambeau practicing his putting while someone held up a towel behind him made its way around Golf Twitter on Thursday. After all, this is a man who thinks of everything to the point that he has his range balls sprayed with water to simulate morning dew when he has an early tee time.
RANKING: The 11 most unusual things about Bryson DeChambeau
But there he was on the practice green at Club de Golf Chapultepec before his first round at the WGC-Mexico Championship being shielded by a towel. See for yourself:

Was he just looking for a little shade from the sun? LOL this is Bryson we're talking about. Obviously, the reason wound up being much (much) more complicated than that.
Turns out, DeChambeau attaches a laser to his putter to work on the path of his stroke. And sometimes, that laser is difficult to see in the sun. Here's the first question..

Golden State’s towel boy did the one thing you’re not supposed to do as towel boy
I've never been a towel/mop-up boy in the NBA, but I'd imagine the job description is pretty simple. Mop up the sweat during stoppages, mop up the sweat while play is at the other end of the court when you can and, most importantly, above all…(this is the number 1 thing here, so pay attention)…do NOT get in the way. Not only for the safety of the players, but for your own safety. Last place you want to be when LeBron James is barreling down the court is in the paint.
The Golden State Warriors' towel boy screwed up the most important part on Thursday night, but there is a happy ending to his story. Late in the fourth quarter, with lowly Warriors trailing by 30, Golden State small forward Juan Toscano-Anderson picked off a bad pass from Houston's Jeff Green and took it the other way. As he closed in on the basket, Golden State's towel boy looked up to see play coming back in his direction. He obviously thought he had time to mop up, but because of the quick s..
Shortest player in NHL picks (and wins) fight against guy who can ride all the rides at Disney World
Never underestimate a short guy. On dating apps, maybe you get away with it. But in the arena of bar fights, road-rage altercations, and bagel-based brouhahas, there is no more dangerous predator on earth. They're little wolverines, itching to unleash an adulthood of pent-up frustration and insecurity down upon your head . . . provided they can reach it, of course. So when we woke up Friday morning and saw Nathan Gerbe, the shortest player in the NHL, trending for not only picking, but winning, a fight against the Flyers' Travis Sanheim, we weren't surprised in the least. Impressed? Sure. But surprised? Not in a million trips around the sun.
The size XS Blue Jacket stands at 5' 4″. Sanheim at 6' 3″. But big tree, as they say, fall hard, and after stepping in to protect teammate Claude Giroux after a hit late in the second period, Sanheim toppled like an old oak in a hurricane. By the time the refs had stopped the fight, Gerbe had taken things down to his level ..
Rory McIlroy’s “stock” yardages this week in Mexico City will blow your mind
The USGA/R&A's recent distance report has reignited the “Does the golf ball go to far?” debate among players, pundits, and fans. No matter what side you take, though, there's no debating that nowhere does the golf ball go farther in professional golf than at the PGA Tour's annual trip to Mexico City.
RELATED: How PGA Tour pros adjust to playing at high altitude
At about 7,600 feet above sea level, Club de Golf Chapultepec's nearly 7,300-yard layout plays considerably shorter because golfers are capable of hitting the ball longer at the WGC-Mexico Championship. A LOT longer. The altitude translates to about a 15 percent difference, which might not sound like that much until you see the actual numbers. And thanks to Rory McIlroy sharing a handy piece of paper with all his stock yardages for this week scribbled down, here's a closer look:
