Giancarlo Stanton is having himself a season in 2017. The Miami Marlins right fielder just became one of six players to reach the 50 home run mark before September. Nine more dingers puts him in the super exclusive 60+ home runs in a single season club, something only five players have done in MLB history.

The new reality show featuring Lonzo Ball & LaVar Ball actually looks pretty interesting
In what should come as no surprise, Lonzo Ball and LaVar Ball will be featured prominently on a new reality show. Also not surprisingly, the show won't be aired on any TV network, but rather Facebook. Kinda like how LaVar was looking for a $3 Billion shoe deal contract for his basketball-playing sons and wound up making his own Big Baller Brand sneakers and sticking a $495 price tag on them.
You need to see Ian Poulter’s wall decorated with yardage books throughout the years
We know Ian Poulter is a golf nerd: the Englishman showed off his garage filled with his old equipment earlier this year. We also know Poulter likes fancy things, like the collection of expensive cars he owns (the 41-year-old just bought a new matte-black Ford GT to go along with his Ferraris) or the plethora of shiny toys he shares, such as his Audemars Piguet watches.

The pack on 3-under includes defending champion Paul Peterson of the U.S and European Tour winners Gregory Bourdy and Soomin Lee of France and South Korea, respectively.
After Hurricane Harvey, golf world lending a hand to Houston

His family's home, about 30 miles north of downtown Houston, sits 300 yards above a bayou, leaving them undamaged by Hurricane Harvey, but with a unique vantage point of its destruction.
Coming off a few years of injuries, Gates bounced between the PGA and Web.com tours this season, which left him ineligible for either this week. So rather than competing like so many of his fellow Houston-area professionals, he's been at home, witnessing the storm firsthand and doing anything he can in the aftermath.
Earlier this week, he'd heard about some family friends, including an 85-year-old grandmother, who were stranded in their home. He alerted the authorities, who rescued them, then he and his family put them up for the night. On Tuesday, he helped ..
Golden Tate is *really* proud of the fantasy football team name he came up with
However, to really make it work, you probably need Golden Tate on your fantasy team. The Detroit Lions wide receiver, who also happens to be an avid golfer, is being taken in the fifth round of most fantasy football drafts, but you might want to reach a little to grab this human-highlight machine.

Roger Federer continues to win at life, holds U.S. Open practice at Central Park
Icon Sportswire(Photo by Chaz Niell/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)Can you imagine Kevin Durant popping in your pick-up game, or Rory McIlroy rounding out your Friday afternoon foursome? How about the world's greatest tennis player showing up for an impromptu practice session on your home court?
Well, technically Federer's No. 3 in the ATP rankings, but the man's clearly owned 2017. He added his 18th and 19th major titles this season, becoming the oldest player in Wimbledon history to win on the historic All England Club lawn. And, despite a scare from Frances Tiafoe, the 36-year-old remains a favorite at the U.S. Open.
So Fed, playing with house money, decided to make his practice time a public affair on Wednesday, taking his game to the people at Central Park.

Federer's already a crowd favorite in Queens. Making a stop in the city's town hall won't hurt this standing.

Prepare to be amazed by this NFL player’s magic tricks
The New Orleans Saints traded for long snapper Jon Dorenbos earlier this week, which is odd, because you usually don’t hear about long snappers being involved in NFL trades. Then again, you usually don’t hear about long snappers. But no matter how Dorenbos fares on the field this season, he’s already done wonders in the team’s locker room.
Actual wonders.

You see, in addition to being a great long snapper (He must be because he’s played 201 career NFL games and is a two-time Pro Bowl selection), Dorenbos is a world-class magician. And if you think we’re exaggerating, check out this clip of his new teammates losing their minds after he pulled off one of his card tricks.

That's some David Blaine-level stuff right there!
If his act seems familiar, it’s possible that’s because you’ve seen it before. Dorenbos, 37, once wowed Ellen DeGeneres on her show:
