These British Open notes from Jordan Spieth’s caddie are a sight to behold

As you might have heard, Jordan Spieth won the claret jug at Royal Birkdale with a furious finish. But, while Spieth's birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie run is the thing of Greek myth, the 23-year-old's adventures on the 13th hole remain the hot topic by the water cooler.
In case you need a rundown on Spieth's Southport survey, we recommend clicking here for the extended rundown. Thanks to our friends at the European Tour, we have another piece to the 13th's puzzle: Michael Greller's caddie notes.
As loopers are prone to do, Greller kept a log of Spieth's shots throughout the round, marking the distances and ensuing results. Bookkeeping that bestowed this gem, regarding Spieth's third shot from the driving range:

For our money, it's almost as cool as Spieth's “Go get that.” Though that's sure to draw its share of opponents, we can all agree Greller's footnote is the best use of an asterisk in the annals of the Eng..

Jordan Spieth’s bad tee shots happen for the same reasons yours do. Fix it

Stuart FranklinSOUTHPORT, ENGLAND – JULY 23: Jordan Spieth of the United States hits his second shot to the 2nd hole during the final round of the 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale on July 23, 2017 in Southport, England. (Photo by Stuart Franklin/Getty Images)It turned out just fine in the end for Jordan Spieth. Playing the final five holes of a major in five under will buff out plenty of scratchy parts.
But for the first 12 and a half holes on Sunday, Spieth was certainly scratchy. His tee shot on the 13th was especially traumatizing–a push block that shot 75 yards right of his intended line and bonked a spectator on its way to an unplayable lie.
It looked like a shot a 20-handicapper would hit–and it came because of a problem very common to the rest of us mortal players. “Jordan is an incredible competitor, but every once in awhile he seems to hit a couple of bad ones–like the tee shot on 13, or some of the wedges he's hit fat,” says Golf Digest Best Young Teacher Mic..

Jack Nicklaus on Jordan Spieth’s Open win: “A display of guts, determination and skill”

Chris Condon(Photo by Chris Condon/PGA TOUR)From media, fans and fellow players, the golf world is singing the praises of Jordan Spieth's Open Championship victory at Royal Birkdale. But perhaps the greatest compliment comes from the G.O.A.T. himself, Jack Nicklaus.
The Golden Bear took to Twitter to congratulate Spieth, applauding the 23-year-old for his maturity under pressure.
“Spieth's Open victory was a great display of guts, determination and skill,” Nicklaus remarked. “This was very enjoyable to watch.”
Like most observing Spieth's adventures on the 13th hole, Nicklaus believed the Texan's wheels were coming off. But when the smoke cleared, Nicklaus was amazed what Spieth had pulled off.
“I don’t know if I would have figured out to go over to the driving range for that shot. That was an unbelievable decision and unbelievable 5,” Nicklaus said. “That putt was so huge. Much like Sergio Garcia’s par save at the 13th hole at Augusta National in the final round of..
