Put this Colorado Avalanche radio broadcaster’s game-winning goal call in the Hockey Hall of Fame

Move over Gus Johnson, there's a new king of insane calls by sports broadcasters, and his name is Marc Moser. Wait, who is Marc Moser?
Apologies to “The Mose”, but it's fair to say that no one outside of Colorado regularly listens to Avalanche hockey games, and apparently, that's a big mistake on our part. Because if Moser brings the energy to every game like he brought to the Avs' game 5 victory over the Nashville Predators on Friday night, then we've been missing out on some epic calls in sports radio history.
After tying the game at one apiece with under five minutes to play, Colorado came out of the Nashville zone on a 2-on-1 with 90 seconds remaining, eventually scoring the game-winning goal in heart-crushing fashion. Moser seized the moment, and produced a call that should be immediately placed in the Hockey Hall of fame regardless of what the Avs do in game six:

This golf-related chant from Winnipeg Jets fans is one of the better ones you’ll ever hear

Icon SportswireIf you've watched any of the NHL Playoffs, you've noticed that each home team's arena has been absolutely electric, as they should be in the postseason. While it's unfair to claim any one fanbase is the most rabid, it sure does seem like Winnipeg Jets fans might take the cake in 2018.
The Jets fans signature whiteout, which dates back to the original franchise's playoff runs in 1987, is a sight to behold, and somehow 15,000+ in Bell MTS Place not only dress in unison, but they chant in unison. It makes for possibly the most wild atmosphere in the playoffs, and it gave the Minnesota Wild absolute fits in a quick five-game series that Winnipeg ended on Friday night. In three games at home, the Jets outscored Minnesota 12-3, including Friday's 5-0 drubbing, sending the Wild packing in the first round for the third consecutive season.
Often you'll hear the unoriginal “have fun golfing!” barb from an opposing fan base when they bounce your t..

Yoenis Cespedes says playing golf could help end his slump, is a genius

Rich SchultzAfter an incredible, too good to be true start to the season, the New York Mets have begun to regress to the mean. The club is still at 14-5 and on top of the NL East, but they're 11-1 start was followed by a 3-4 skid, including a pair of disappointing losses to the division-rival Washington Nationals. Part of the reason they've struggled has been due to the lack of production from Yoenis Cespedes.
Cespedes didn't exactly start the season on a tear, but in his first 22 at-bats he had six hits, three of them homers, and seven RBIs. Since then he's gone 10-for-55, with just one extra-base hit and one homer, which was a grand slam, to be fair. It hasn't been a Giancarlo Stanton-esque slump, but it's a slump of sorts, and one the Mets need their slugger to snap out of to keep their foot on the gas in the NL East Division race. After a victory over the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, Cespedes was asked about his problems at the plate, and he had a g..

US Open champ Brooks Koepka ready to play after wrist injury

U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka was out of golf so long he forgot where he put his clubs when finally healthy enough to start hitting balls.

Now he’s back to work, and he’s ready to play.

Koepka plans to play the Zurich Classic next week in New Orleans, ending a 15-week hiatus from a left wrist injury so severe he was in a soft cast for two months and didn’t touch a club for 91 days.

Article continues below …

”It feels like I’ve been out for six months,” Koepka said. ”I still have confidence. I feel like I can win next week.”

Koepka won the Dunlop Phoenix on the Japan Golf Tour last November, and the next week he was hitting balls to get ready for the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas when he felt pain in his left wrist.

It hurt all week in the Bahamas, where he finished last against an 18-man field. Koepka didn’t touch a club until going to Kapalua for the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He finished last against a 34-man field.

And then he stepped away.

”It was torn a lot..
