Patrick Reed wears green jacket to Chick-Fil-A, keeping time-honored Masters tradition alive

It has been a whirlwind couple of days for Patrick Reed. Following a pressure-packed weekend at Augusta National, the newly minted Masters champion landed in New York City on Monday for an exhaustive media and celebrity tour.
An appearance at the Empire State Building, sitting courtside at a New York Knicks with Chris Rock, 2Chainz and Aziz Ansari, then doing the television rounds through The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Kelly and Ryan, “CBS This Morning” and others.
So we're quite sure that Reed was looking forward to resting up and enjoying some time off after his wild weekend. And the Masters champion and his wife, Justine, appeared to have started their downtime the way you or me might have. When they landed back home in Texas on Tuesday, it appears the Reeds chose Chick-Fil-A as their desired relaxing meal before arriving at home in The Woodlands, Texas.
With their children, Windsor Wells and Benjamin, in tow, we can see why it probably would've been too much to stop ..

Firestone to host the world’s best players over 50 next year

Firestone Country Club in Ohio is going from hosting the world’s best players to hosting the world’s best over 50.

The PGA Tour says Bridgestone will switch its title sponsorship at Firestone next year from a World Golf Championship to the Senior Players Championship, which the tour regards as one of the five majors on the PGA Tour Champions.

Firestone has been hosting golf tournaments since the 1950s, including the PGA Championship three times and the original World Series of Golf starting in 1962. It has been a World Golf Championships event since 1999 except for one year when it was played at Sahalee in Washington state.

That event will move to Memphis, Tennessee, next year. An announcement was expected later Thursday.

This story has been corrected to show that Firestone has been hosting golf tournaments since the 1950s, not `60s.

Bettor accidentally places wager on wrong team, ends up winning $50,000 anyway

Jean Catuffe(Photo by Jean Catuffe/Getty Images)We've heard enough #BadBeat tales to last a lifetime. So finally, a story on the other end of the luck spectrum.
According to JustBet, a sports book in Jamaica, a man tried to complete a five-team parlay by placing a wager on Barcelona to beat Roma in a Champions League match. Unfortunately, something got lost in translation and he accidentally went with Roma. By the time he realized the mistake, the betting window had closed, and he was stuck with his ticket.
Well, perhaps “stuck” isn't the right word. Because Roma ended up beating Barcelona, bestowing this S.O.B. $52,624.

The lesson, as always: gamblers are idiots. And sometimes, rich ones at that.

With passwords like this, the Boston Red Sox can never be hacked

After Wednesday night's vintage, five-hour Boston Red Sox-New York Yankees marathon complete with multiple bench clearings, a beaning and a “brawl”, many people are saying that the rivalry is back. While it's too early to say that definitively yet, the game was certainly entertaining, especially considering it's only April. But by far the best thing to come from last night came from the Yankees clubhouse after the game.
And no, we're not talking about any postgame locker room scuffle, or a war of words. We're talking about the Red Sox WiFi password, which was in plain view during Yankee manager Aaron Boone's postgame interview. Their network name and password is TOTALLY NOT what you think, guys:

With passwords like this, the Red Sox will never have to worry about getting hacked. But if we're spitballing here, I imagine Dave Dombrowski's computer log-in is something like – Username: Preside..

Shanshan Feng takes early LPGA Tour lead in Hawaii

KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) Top-ranked Shanshan Feng birdied three of her last five holes Wednesday to take the lead halfway through a windy first round of the Lotte Championship.

The Chinese star finished at 5-under 67 at Ko Olina Golf Club. She is the first golfer from China – female or male – to reach No. 1 in the world rankings. She insists she ”gets more excited” in the wind, which should make Ko Olina an ideal site for her this week.

”A lot of people would be like worrying, thinking `Oh, my God, it’s so windy,”’ Feng said. ”I wake up and I’m like, `Yeah, it’s windy.’ That’s why in this kind of situation I still stay patient on the course and still stay with my routine.”

Brooke Henderson, Haeji Kang and rookie Martina Edberg are a shot back in second.

Henderson, a 20-year-old in search of her sixth victory, fired a bogey-free 68. She is ranked 14th, while the pair she shares second with are a bit farther back.

Lizette Salas, who lost a playoff here in 2013, bogeyed her final hole to shoot 69. She was tied for third with Kia Classic winner Eun-Hee Ji and Alena Sharp. Sharp, fellow Canadians Brooke Henderson, Anne-Catherine Tanguay and Maude-Aimee Leblanc and their caddies wore green and gold ribbons in memory of those killed in the Saskatchewan bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team.

Defending champion Cristie Kerr shot 71. She played with 2014 Lotte winner Michelle Wie, the home-state star who double-bogeyed her 15th hole to finish at even par.

No. 1 Johnson looks to follow strong Masters at Harbour Town

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) Dustin Johnson is not satisfied with his Masters’ history, no matter how many top-10 finishes he posts at Augusta National.

The top-ranked Johnson wound up 10th in last week’s major, his third straight appearance in the top 10 on the challenging layout.

”I definitely expect better,” Johnson said Wednesday in prepping for this week’s RBC Heritage. ”I felt like I played well enough to win last week.”

The problem was simple enough to identify – watching putts not fall in.

”The thing that’s most frustrating is it wasn’t that I was hitting bad putts. I was actually hitting good putts, they just weren’t going in,” he said.

Johnson hopes to remedy that at Harbour Town Golf Links, a place the South Carolina native has not played professionally since 2009. Johnson, who’s won a PGA Tour event in 11 straight seasons, typically took a vacation after the Masters to shake off the stress that comes with the first major.

But as a newly s..
