These photos of Tommy Fleetwood without his long hair and scruffy beard are amazing
AUGUSTA, Ga. — As he snuck his way into contention at the Masters on Saturday, shooting a six-under 66 to jump into the top five, we came to the realization that there are a three things Tommy Fleetwood—Golf Digest's April cover boy—is truly known for in golf circles.
• He was born and raised in Birkdale, England (remember all those stories last year about Fleetwood being a lock to win the Open?)
• He won the 2017 Race to Dubai
• He has a tremendous head of hair. A head of hair that would make Jared Leto jealous. Or Jennifer Lawrence. A head of hair that conjures up hirsute Hall of Famers as Samson, Fabio and Johnny Deep.
There was a time, however, when the third truism had yet to be. A quick Google search of “Tommy Fleetwood Short Hair” will show you the days when the Englishman used to own a razor and visit the barber. And it’s really rather fascinating.

Masters 2018: Patrick Reed is using a USA Ryder Cup umbrella at the Masters because he’s a cold-blooded American
Patrick Reed loves the Ryder Cup. We know this. You know this. That ain't no news flash. But does he love the Ryder Cup enough to where he'd use a 2016 Ryder Cup umbrella from Hazeltine at Augusta National? Yes, folks. Yes he would.
As Reed continues to excel at the Masters, extending his lead on Saturday, he showed off his ultra-American umbrella walking the fairways of Augusta National. When it started to downpour on the 12th hole, Reed broke out the Hazeltine umbrella.
We've seen Reed utilize part of his American wardrobes before, but to do so at the Masters? This guy is so American it hurts.

Not coincidently, Reed went on to roll in a clutch eagle putt at the 13th hole after breaking out the umbrella. Sending those good vibes.
This isn't the first time we've seen Reed breaking out Ryder Cup gear during another even..
A good round for Woods at this Masters is even par
AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) Tiger Woods was trying to figure out how to get to the 17th green from closer to the 15th fairway when the massive gallery anticipating his shot heard a huge roar behind them that caused them to look over their shoulders.
Rickie Fowler was responsible for making all that noise with an eagle on the second hole.
The third round of the Masters was just getting started on Saturday. The player so many fans wanted to see was about done.

Needing something special to even have hope, Woods had to settle for ordinary.
A few sloppy bogeys, two of them on par 5s. A few birdies. It added to an even-par 72, his best score of the week.
”I’m not hitting it close enough. I’m not taking advantage of the par 5s and consequently a good round is even par,” Woods said.
It was disappointing, sure, but it also was surprising.
Woods spent so much of the Florida swing of the PGA Tour piecing his game back together, and his iron game was particularly sharp. A..

Masters 2018: The 12th hole at Augusta National is becoming the holy grail of golf marriage proposals
Amen Corner is synonymous with being one of the most suspenseful three-hole stretches in golf. Spend a day at the short but tricky par-3 12th, and you're sure to see some magic. Lately, those special moments are expanding beyond how the pros play the hole. For the second straight year, we have documented proof that couples are planning — and executing — successful marriage proposals on the Golden Bell.
In 2017, Benji Thompson bent down on one knee and proposed to his now-wife Reagan.

This year, Tyler Bell followed suit, as he proposed to Morgan Snyder during Monday's practice round. (Don't worry, she said yes.)

Tyler and Morgan live together in San Antonio, Texas, met back in 2014, and have been together for a little over a year. Bell had to quickly change his initial proposal plans after scoring tickets to Augusta only the week before the tournament. “My plan was to ask in May but how many times are you actually at the..

Golf is always a balancing act. You know your strengths, so to get better you have to work on all the other things.
The Latest: Woods should crack top 100 in world rankings

Four-time major winner Rory McIlroy is already trying to play mind games with Patrick Reed heading into the final round of the Masters.

McIlroy and Reed will be in the final pairing on Sunday. It could shape up to be the kind of showdown typically seen in the Ryder Cup.
Reed made two eagles on the back nine and shot a 5-under 67 in the third round at Augusta National, just a few miles down the road from where he went to college. Reed is at 14-under 202 heading into the final round. No one has ever shot all four rounds at the Masters in the 60s.
Reed also has a shot at the Masters record of 18 under, set by Tigers Woods in 1997 and tied by Jordan Spieth in 2015.
McIlroy shot a 7-under 65 Saturday and will start the final round three strokes behind the leader.
”All the pressure’s on him” Sunday, McIlroy said. ”I’m hoping to come in and spoil the party.”

Paul Casey credited his best round of the week at the Masters to a marker and a mattress.

Casey shot a 3-under 69 in the third round Saturday and made a decent move up the leaderboard. He was in the first group off the tee and played alongside Augusta National club champion Jeff Knox, who typically fills in when an odd number of players make the cut at the Masters.
They played in 3 hours, about two hours fasters than threesomes averages during the first two rounds, and Casey called it ”the best experience I’ve ever had with a marker.”
Casey found one more reason for his improved play: He slept in his 3-year-old son’s bed the last few nights in hopes of loosening up a tight hip.
Casey didn’t like the mattress in the house he rented near the course, so he bunked with his kid in ”a proper bed.”
