PGA Tour pro has hilarious reaction to Tiger Woods bumping him from upcoming tournament

Tiger Woods' announcement that he will play in next week's Valspar Championship (in addition to the following week's Arnold Palmer Invitational) got golf fans — and NBC executives — in a tizzy on Friday. But the news wound up being a blow to fellow PGA Tour pro Jonathan Randolph, who got bumped from having a guaranteed spot in the field to being the Tampa Bay Area event's first alternate.
However, Randolph handled the situation better than expected. Turns out, he's a huge Tiger fan as well.

But Randolph, who had his best-ever PGA Tour finish with a solo third at the Sanderson Farms Championship earlier this season, was in an even better mood a few hours later. When a couple of the event's original commitments, including Patton Kizzire, pulled out, he was back in the tournament.

Kizzire happened to play with Woods the first two rounds at las..

Dunlap, Tolles leads Champions’ Cologuard Classic

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – Scott Dunlap and Tommy Tolles topped the Cologuard Classic leaderboard at 8-under 65, with Steve Stricker a stroke back Friday in a bid for his first PGA Tour Champions title.

Dunlap closed his bogey-free round on Omni Tucson National’s Catalina Course with birdies on par-5 eighth and par-4 ninth.

”I was thinking going into this week, I haven’t used up much of my good golfing quota at Tucson National over the years,” Dunlap said. ”We played here in college, I played mini-tour events here, I played regular tour events here, and now I’m playing the PGA Tour Champions here. I’ve always liked the golf course. I’ve done OK, but nothing great. So, today was kind of special to hit it good and make some putts, too.”

Tolles, playing in the last group off the first tee, birdied the par-4 18th for a share of the lead. He also had a bogey-free day.

A plane got caught in the Bomb Cyclone and “pretty much everyone threw up” on the flight

RyanKing999I've had some rough flight experiences. On a Dallas to Los Angeles trip the oxygen masks dropped on our ascent because the plane couldn't normalize cabin pressure. A cross-country excursion had to make an emergency landing thanks to a fuel issue. Just last month, my bird departing Orlando barely got off the ground after a power generator in the engine went out. So yeah, me and flying aren't simpatico.
But I've never experienced anything like the poor bastards on United 3833 felt this morning.
The Charlottesville-to-D.C. flight got snarled in the latest Bomb Cyclone to hit the East Coast (or as Twitter is referring to it, “Windmageddon”). Although it was in the air for less than an hour, the storm wreaked havoc on the 50-passenger plane, according to a report filed by the pilots.
“Very bumpy on descent. Pretty much everyone on the plane threw up,” read the report with the National Weather Service's aviation center. That included the pilots themselves:..

The rumors are true, J.R. Smith did throw a bowl of soup at another grown man

Kevin C. CoxThings were going so good for the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers before the All-Star break. They had just ripped off four in a row, LeBron James was up to his usual, GOAT-level of play, and everyone was getting along in a drama-free environment, at least that's what it looked like from afar. Then, I gave them the kiss of death, guaranteeing not only victory, but a convincing victory over the Washington Wizards, a game they went on to lose 110-103.
Since then they've gone 2-2, with both of the losses coming by double digits at home, including last night's 108-97 loss to Philadelphia in which Cavs guard Jordan Clarkson whipped the ball at Sixers forward Dario Saric after a garbage-time dunk. Meanwhile, prior to the game, J.R. Smith was mysteriously suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team,” for a situation that Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said occurred after the team's shoot-around. There's no denying J.R. has done some dumb stuff in his career, on and ..
