Couple travels to Ireland to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers, sees the Red Hot Chilli PIPERS instead

Two people. Three letters. One all-time fail.
An English couple took a trip to Belfast, Ireland to see their favorite band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Only they wound up seeing the Red Hot Chilli Pipers instead. Whoops.

To be fair, at first glance the two band names are nearly identical. Their styles of music, however, are not. The Pipers, as you may have guessed, rely hail from Scotland and rely heavily on bagpipes. In fact, they call themselves “The Most Famous Bagpipe Band on the Planet,” and we are in no position to dispute that claim.

Nevertheless, Duncan Robb had no intention of seeing them when he purchased concert tickets as a gift to his girlfriend.
“When I clicked on and got tickets in row Q and for 30 each I thought what a bargain, there must not be many tickets left and snatched them up straight away,” Robb explained to ABC7.com. “Also, I saw the..

We can now guarantee you a perfect draw …on a T-shirt, at least

Here at The Loop, the golf we watch and the golf we play are often two wildly different things. We might needle a tour player for putting too much backspin on a wedge into 18. Meanwhile, we're happy when we can simply find our third shot.
But all of us have dreams, however delusional, and that's where OUR FIRST OFFICIAL T-SHIRT, produced in partnership with our friends at Breaking T, comes into play.
FacebookPinterestORDER YOURS HERE.
Borrowing from one of our favorite Tigerisms, the right “traj” is all about how YOU flight YOUR ball. Maybe a gentle draw from right to left. Maybe a power fade to a tucked pin. Maybe a slice right onto the clubhouse patio. It's quite possible none of these shots are part of your actual repertoire—and it's very likely you'll never experience the joy humiliation of seeing one of them on a Pro Tracer—but, hey that's why they're “Goals” right?

Mark Wahlberg is wearing headphones in his round with Tiger Woods and the Internet is having none of it

Playing music on the golf course used to be a breach of etiquette. Now it's not only accepted, it's become the norm. With a caveat, however: said symphonic accompaniment is welcomed if the entire group can partake in the listening experience. Or, to put it frankly, don't be “that guy” wearing jamming out in headphones in the presence of others.
Which brings us to Mark Wahlberg.
Wahlberg is playing in Wednesday's Genesis Open Pro-Am at Riviera, a course he calls home. And he's playing his round with Apple AirPods in both ears. A look that could be generally described as “interesting.”
One other small detail: Wahlberg is playing with Tiger Woods.

Now, “Chatty Cathy” is not a description used often when describing the rapport between pros and their Wednesday amateur partners. Nevertheless, rocking headphones while paired with one of the three greatest golfers of all-time seems a tad unnecessary, yes? An ob..

You’ll get tired just reading about Tiger Woods’ daily routine in his prime

Sam GreenwoodORLANDO, FL – FEBRUARY 17: Tiger Woods (R) jogs with an unidentified friend near his home on February 17, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. (Photo by Sam Greenwood/Getty Images)It's common knowledge that Tiger Woods liked to push his body to extremes during his prime. According to his former swing coach, Hank Haney, even Woods' four-mile runs were cranked up a notch by him wearing combat boots. And Rory McIlroy has said Tiger texts him sometimes in the middle of the night. From the gym.
Having undergone his fourth back surgery — a fusion — last April, however, Woods, 42, admitted on Wednesday that he doesn't have quite the daily routine he used to. However, just listening to him describe a typical day from his prime will probably make you tired. And definitely make you feel like a lazy sack of potatoes.

Why I’m rooting for Slovakia in the Olympic hockey tournament—and really you should be, too

KIRILL KUDRYAVTSEVSlovakia celebrates after winning in the men's preliminary round ice hockey match between Slovakia and Olympic Athletes from Russia during the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games at the Gangneung Hockey Centre in Gangneung on February 14, 2018. / AFP PHOTO / Kirill KUDRYAVTSEV (Photo credit should read KIRILL KUDRYAVTSEV/AFP/Getty Images)Ladies and gentlemen, it’s officially time to join me on the Slovak Train to Olympic Hockey Glory, now departing twice daily, choo choo. There is always room, we are a welcoming (if hirsute) people and our warm greetings, genial nature and delightful gypsy-folk music will easily make up for the smell of much of what we are cooking. (Sorry about that, but you try to prepare meals containing this much sauerkraut and not ending up smelling like the interior of a snowboarders' boot. Also, my cousin Kevin will offer you a drink called slivovica; it’s a “plum brandy” that will result in alcoholic fire shooting out of your eyes.)..
