Advanced new technology now being used to splice Nicolas Cage into every movie ever

If you're already familiar with Deepfakes, you probably want to keep that to yourself. A burgeoning new subreddit that uses deep-learning technology to accurately super-impose famous women's faces on the bodies of porn performers, Deepfakes—in the process of violating common decency and, potentially, a host of likeness rights while simultaneously giving birth to FakeApp, an app that makes it easy for users to create their own skeevy swaps in their own creepy homes—has also given humanity a monumental gift:
Nicolas Cage—who last week dressed up like this to celebrate the premiere of his new chainsaw-fight-including film at Sundance—in every movie ever. Look upon the majesty and weep.
As James Bond in Dr. No…
As Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark…
As Lois Lane in Man of Steel…
And finally as the T-1000 in Terminator (the role he was born to play)…

Why you’re definitely going to see more defen$e in this year’s NBA All-$tar Game (HINT: $)

Bill BaptistNEW ORLEANS – FEBRUARY 19: Stephen Curry #30 of the Western Conference All-Star Team dribbles the ball during the 2017 NBA All-Star Game on February 19, 2017 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. In recent years, the NBA All-Star game has evolved into a 48-minute dunk contest, but there's definitely going to be more defense played in this year's edition. And it has little to do with the new All-Star draft.
RELATED: Lou Williams had the best reaction to not making the All-Star Game
Yes, playing with your buds — or trying to impress LeBron — could raise the hustle level, but there's nothing that motivates someone to get into a full defensive crouch than cold, hard cash. All-Star game victors always walked away with a little something for their efforts, but ESPN reports that winner's check has been bumped up to a $100,000.
Under the old structure, winning players in the game received $50,000 while losers took home $25,000. According to ESP..

Breaking down DJ Khaled’s master class in hype at the Grammys 2018

Christopher PolkAh, the hype man. Not so much performer as cheerleader. Not so much dancer as choreographer. Not so much a vocation as a lifestyle choice. Or, as in most cases, the perfect collision of a lifestyle with a stage.
As any of DJ Khaled's Snapchat followers knows—and if you're not one, get on it—the man not only lives that hype life, he narrates it, pausing to tell the world his story every few minutes. That's how he works on stage, too, and last night at the Grammy's his performance with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller was as large and loud as his Richard Pryor-red suit.
For about three and a half minutes last night, DJ Khaled fed the stars he shared that stage with all the volume, optimism, ambition, and support he could withdraw from what appears to be an endless supply of the stuff. They let Khaled open the performance with an improvised soliloquy about pride, which probably passes through his head every few minutes. His love of opportunities is huge and in..

New Orleans Pelicans fan participates in pre-game warmups before cops (finally) catch on

We don't condone fans sneaking/running onto courts/fields during professional sporting events, but. . . sorry, this was hysterical. Some New Orleans Pelicans fan managed to become a part of the team's warmups before Friday night's game against the Houston Rockets. And, well, check it out:

Everything about this clip is funny, from the stunned reaction of person filming (“What the hell?!”) to the dude's shooting technique to his stretching routine:
FacebookPinterestOf course, we also have a couple obvious questions:
How did it take so long for security to notice?Who passed him the ball?!Wearing full warmups and having court-side seats helps answer the first question, but the second will forever remain a mystery. Not that we mind. That was pretty darn entertaining.

Day beats Noren on 6th playoff hole to win Farmers

SAN DIEGO (AP) Jason Day sank an 18-inch birdie putt on the sixth playoff hole to beat Alex Noren and win the Farmers Insurance Open in front of empty grandstands on No. 18 at Torrey Pines on Monday morning.

Day and Noren had to return after grinding through five playoff holes Sunday before it got too dark to continue.

Day teed off at 8:04 a.m. and sank the winning putt 13 minutes later, his fourth birdie on the par-5 hole in the playoff.

His victory was accompanied only by the sounds of camera shutters and cheers from Day’s family members. Spectators weren’t allowed in because organizers said they didn’t have time to arrange for security.

Noren tried an aggressive second shot from the first cut, but his ball landed short of the green and rolled into Devlin’s Billabong, a pond that protects the hole.

Day, meanwhile, hit his second shot out of the rough and over some trees onto the fairway before hitting a beautiful approach shot that set up the wi..

Weekend Sports In Brief

TENNIS

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) Back where his career resurgence began with a drought-breaking triumph last year, Roger Federer cried as he lifted and kissed the Australian Open trophy for a sixth time and celebrated his 20th Grand Slam title.

Federer started Sunday’s final with an intensity that stunned sixth-seeded Marin Cilic, then held his nerve in a tense, momentum-shifting match before winning 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

After going more than four years without winning a major title leading into last year’s Australian Open, Federer has now won three of the last five. Rod Laver, who lends his name to the center court at Melbourne Park, was in the crowd taking photos to mark the occasion of Federer becoming the first man to win 20 majors.

At the age of 36 years, 173 days, Federer became the second-oldest man to win a Grand Slam title in the Open era after Ken Rosewall, who won the 1972 Australian Open at 37.

In the women’s final, Caroline Wo..

Day, Noren need another day to decide winner at Torrey Pines

SAN DIEGO (AP) Jason Day, once the undisputed No. 1 player in golf, has gone 20 months since his last victory.

One more day wasn’t about to bother him.

In the longest playoff in the 67-year history of the Farmers Insurance Open, Day and Alex Noren of Sweden exchanged three birdies and two pars over five extra holes at Torrey Pines, the last one in near darkness.

Article continues below …

They had to return Monday morning to decide a winner.

At stake for Day was a chance for a fresh start in 2018 after a dreadful year of his mother recovering from lung cancer and a game that lost some discipline and focus. For Noren, it was an opportunity to finally earn some recognition in America after a strong rise through his European Tour success. Noren, who played at Oklahoma State, has nine victories on the European Tour, including four in 2016. He is No. 19 in the world.

Missing from the mix is Ryan Palmer, who was eliminated on the first extra hole with a par.

And missing Monday ..
