We rail on referees any chance we get, especially when guys like “TV Teddy” give them such a bad rap. But I wouldn't wish what happened to this poor basketball ref on my worst enemy.
From the video, it's not clear where this happened, or whether it was in a high school or college game. But that's pretty much irrelevant, because it made Sportscenter, which made this extremely unfortunate situation WAY worse for Mr. Official here. Now the entire world knows his secret:

Under NO circumstances can you pick up that toupee off the ground and put it back on. You have to just cut your losses there and carry on, nothing to see here. Embrace the bald my man, there's no turning back now.

Asia keeps 1-point lead at EurAsia Cup
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) Asia staged a late comeback to maintain its slim lead over defending champion Europe, 6 + to 5 +, on the second day of the EurAsia Cup on Saturday.
”We came out of the session at 3-3 which wasn’t what we were looking for, but we live to fight another day,” Europe captain Thomas Bjorn said. ”We have got to go out and put some blue on the board and try to win the singles.”
Europe took the lead at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club after winning its first three foursomes on Saturday, but Asia pulled level before Li Haotong and Nicholas Fung beat Europe’s Ross Fisher and Bernd Wiesberger 3 and 1 for the lead.

”No one was four or five down after six holes. When you’re one or two down in matchplay, you can easily flip that, and they did,” Asia captain Arjun Atwal said. ”If you asked me if I’m surprised or shocked, I’m not. My guys are all champions.”
After trailing 3 + to 2 + on Friday’s fourballs, Europe drew level through the fo..
John Peterson has uncertain future and no worries
HONOLULU (AP) John Peterson has never felt so carefree amid so much uncertainty.
It’s not just the Waikiki Beach air, either. This peaceful feeling was in place long before he arrived on Oahu with his wife and infant son for this first PGA Tour event in seven months.
Peterson is using a golf bag from LSU, where he won the NCAA title in 2011. He has one brand for his shoes, another for his apparel. His cap is from Shady Oaks, the golf club in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.

That alone makes him stand out at the Sony Open for all the wrong reasons.
”I don’t have a sponsor,” Peterson said.
He might not have much of a future if his fortunes don’t turn quickly.
Peterson is playing on a major medical extension for his recovery from hand surgery in 2016. He played only 15 tournaments last season until shutting it down in June. Under the extension, the 28-year-old Peterson has eight tournaments to make either $375,165 or 274 FedEx Cup points to keep ..

McIlroy reveals heart ailment that will require monitoring
Rory McIlroy says he has a heart ailment that will have to be monitored regularly but is not expected to affect his play.
McIlroy said in an interview with The Telegraph that he has a thickening of the left ventricle. He says doctors told him it was caused by a viral infection he suffered in China 18 months ago.
He says he’ll get an electrocardiogram every six months and an MRI once per year.

”There’s a bit of scar tissue. For now, I just need to stay on top of it and have to stay fit. Hey, I was planning on doing that anyway,” McIlroy said.
McIlroy says he’s fully recovered from the rib injury he suffered a year ago that contributed to a winless 2017. He finished the year ranked 11th, his worst year-end ranking since his rookie year in 2008.
McIlroy took three months off at the end of 2017 to allow his rib to heal. He will make his 2018 debut next week in Abu Dhabi and plans to play eight events before the Masters, his most ambitious schedule ahe..
Harman extends good play in Hawaii and takes Sony Open lead
HONOLULU (AP) Different islands, vastly different golf courses, same good play from Brian Harman.
One week after Harman shared the 36-hole lead at Kapalua, he ran off three straight birdies and closed with a 15-foot eagle putt for a 7-under 63 and a three-shot lead going into the weekend at the Sony Open.
Harman was at 13-under 127, and no one could catch him on Friday afternoon.

Chris Kirk, who shared the 18-hole lead with Harman, opened by pitching in from 25 yards for eagle on No. 10. He ended his day by driving into the canal on the easy par-5 ninth and making bogey for a 67.
Kirk was three behind along with Zach Johnson (67), John Peterson (64), Tom Hoge (65) and PGA Tour rookie Talor Gooch.
Except for the tropical warmth, the two golf courses on the Hawaii swing are nothing alike. The Plantation Course at Kapalua was built on the side of the mountain on the west tip of Maui and features fairways that can stretch nearly 90 yards wide and big ..
Harman extends good play in Hawaii and takes Sony Open lead
HONOLULU (AP) Brian Harman’s game stayed with him from one island to the next in Hawaii as he made eagle on his last hole for a 7-under 63 and the early lead in the Sony Open.
Harman played in the final group at Kapalua last week and tied for third in a final round in which no one had much of a chance against Dustin Johnson. On a far different course at Waialae, he had another stretch of three straight birdies in Friday’s second round and closed with a 7-iron to 15 feet for eagle on the par-5 ninth.
Harman was at 13-under 127, three shots ahead of Zach Johnson (67), John Peterson (64) and Tom Hoge (65).

Defending champion Justin Thomas salvaged an otherwise pedestrian round with a birdie-birdie-eagle finish for a 67. He was seven behind.

Watch Ray Allen hole a spectacular approach shot while playing with John Daly
In addition to being one of the NBA's all-time greatest perimeter shooters, Ray Allen was always one of the league's best golfers. And not surprisingly, Allen's golf game has stayed formidable now that he's officially retired (Sorry, LeBron) from his day job.
RELATED: Ray Allen might have the coolest golf bag ever
Allen currently holds a 0.5 handicap index (although, he's been as low as a plus 1.1), and during Friday's first round of the Diamond Resorts Invitational — an event that pairs celebrities with PGA Tour Champions and LPGA players in a modified stableford format — the long-range master knocked in a shot from well beyond three-point range. He certainly impressed playing partner John Daly. Check it out:

Perhaps even more spectacular was Allen's outfit. How many times has John Daly not had the loudest ensemble in his group? Plaid pants with a neon shirt AND a white belt? Bold.
