Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen has the best opinion we’ve ever heard in regards to bat flips

In the top of the 10th inning of the instant classic that was game two of the 2017 World Series between the Dodgers and Astros, Houston's star shortstop Carlos Correa unleashed an all-time bat flip after taking L.A. pitcher Josh Fields deep to give his team a 5-3 lead. It came immediately after teammate Jose Altuve's solo blast, making them the first duo to go back-to-back in extra innings of a World Series game in MLB history.
Neither home run happens without a blown save from dominant Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen, who up until Wednesday night, had not blown a save in the playoffs in his career. What was normally a done deal (the Dodgers were 98-0 on the year when holding a lead after the eighth inning) was suddenly a catastrophe in a matter of a few swings. Jansen was pulled in favor of Fields before the back-to-back home runs, but was still asked about Correa's bat flip for the ages after the game. One would think Jansen would not have approved, especially considering..

Kids, do NOT try this dangerous indoor trick shot at home

Most parents set a precedent with their children at an early age: no playing ball in the house. This goes for just about any ball, no matter how hard or soft, no matter the shape or size. It's a worthy lesson, one that bears repeating in the hopes that your kids finally get it before something breaks.
After watching this insanely dangerous indoor golf trick shot video, it's clear that these guys' parents did not teach them this valuable lesson:

Whether or not this is their house or their parents, it's still something no one should ever attempt at home. This is dicey enough with the door fully open, yet this kid decided to heighten the degree of difficulty and make his margin for error literally as slim as possible:
FacebookPinterestThat's a lane so narrow it would make Seve Ballesteros take his medicine, safely chip out into the fairway and play for bogey. The craziest part? It actually looks like it was almost too high, rather than gla..

Korean World Series game decided by botched rundown play

If you thought, moments after watching George Springer blast the Astros to a game two World Series victory in the top of the 11th, that you had seen the craziest baseball highlight of the night, you thought wrong. Less than an hour after Springer’s telling two-run shot, game two of the KBO Korean Series—Korea’s version of the Fall Classic—got underway in Seoul. Led by lefty ace Hyeon-Jong Yang, who tossed a 122-pitch shutout gem, the Kia Tigers entered the bottom of the eighth inning tied with the Doosan Bears 0-0. Then sports happened:

Caught in a rundown between third and home with another baserunner rounding second, the Bears looked certain to collect their second out. That is until the catcher lost his mind, sh-t his pants, and instead of standing his ground for the obvious out, instead threw back to third, where the shortstop, who had rotated over to cover the bag, then lost his mind, sh-t his pants, and instead of immediat..

Tiger Woods was just part of the biggest group of celebrities to ever attend a World Series game

Tiger Woods returned to a professional sport on Wednesday. It just wasn't golf, and he looked on from the stands.
Woods was in attendance for Game 2 of the World Series, playing the role of loyal fan as he watch his Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Houston Astros:

Here's another look at Woods, who showed up with girlfriend Erica Herman and sported a sweet throwback Jackie Robinson jersey:

Koepka opens with a 64 to lead HSBC Champions (Oct 26, 2017)

SHANGHAI (AP) The HSBC Champions is the first stop for Brooks Koepka on his four-week Asian adventure that will include two weeks on the beaches of Vietnam and Thailand and a title defense in Japan.

Splotches of mud on his shirt were evidence that it started with a wild ride at Sheshan International.

”Yeah, I had some fun in the water,” he said.

Koepka played so beautifully on Thursday that the U.S. Open champion had reason to believe his 8-under 64 for a one-shot lead could have been much lower. He burned the edge of cup on a few birdie putts, missed one birdie attempt from 4 feet and turned a certain birdie into an aggravating bogey when he three-putted from 4 feet on No. 3.

But he got away with his worst swing of the day.

Wanting to play conservatively on the par-5 eighth, Koepka hit 3-iron off the tee and pulled it so badly that he disappeared down the banks of a winding stream along the entire left side of the fairway. Enough of the golf ball..

Thai golfer motivated by funeral for king and starts strong

SHANGHAI (AP) Kiradech Aphibarnrat dressed in black and played with purpose Thursday in the HSBC Champions.

Back home in Thailand, black-clad citizens solemnly ended a year of mourning for King Bhumibol Adulyadej with a series of traditional funeral ceremonies lasting five days. Kiradech wanted to do his part in a World Golf Championship in Shanghai.

He not only dressed the part, the burly Thai ran off 10 birdies to offset a sloppy start and wound up with a 7-under 65, leaving him one shot behind U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka after the opening round at Sheshan International.

Kiradech choked back tears talking about his beloved late king.

”It’s not an easy situation, because it’s hard to explain how deeply our king was loved and how sadly he is missed,” Kiradech said. ”When he passed away last year, it caused a lot of upset to all the Thai people. He will always hold a special place in my heart. But he loved sport, and he would have been the first..
