Applebee’s is selling $1 margaritas all month, which sounds like it should be illegal

America’s fast-casual dining establishments are dying a slow, grim death. CEOs are publicly shaming millennials on the internet, F&B coordinators are experimenting with mozzarella stick-topped chicken parm, and the barkeeps at Applebee’s have launched their final distress flare: $1 margaritas—ahem, Dollaritas—available every day, open to close, all month long (or until the FDA shuts this whole thing down).
There is no catch. There is no limit. This is not a drill.
FacebookPinterestWhether or not converting friendly Neighborhood Bar & Grills across the nation into street-clothes Hooters will help to pluck the brand from the fanged maw of capitalism remains to be seen, of course, but given America’s apparent fondness for soiling itself while taking a breathalyzer test on the side of a highway at 4pm on a Tuesday, all signs point to maybe.

Would you play golf with O.J. Simpson? How about President Xi Jinping of China? Or North Korea’s Kim Jong Un?
Gary Player, golf’s indefatigable world ambassador, addressed these questions when he was interviewed by TMZ in a baggage claim area at Los Angeles International Airport.
TMZ, naturally, has been aggressively pursuing the story of Simpson’s release from prison and has reported that he is living temporarily in a friend’s home on a golf course in Las Vegas.
So a TMZ reporter at the airport encountered Player, who was asked about Simpson’s release from prison.
“Well, good for him,” Player said. “When a man has served his term, he must be forgiven. He must go ahead now and live his life.”
But would Player play golf with O.J.?

This 2018 World Cup venue in Russia brings a whole new meaning to “stadium seating”

The 2018 World Cup is coming to Russia, which is a much more logical destination than, say, Qatar hosting the 2022 event. You know, because Russia actually has soccer stadiums already. However, that didn't keep one of these structures from getting a major overhaul. An addition the likes of which we've never seen before.
The Ekaterinburg Arena is the home of FC Ural in the Russian Premier League so it's used to big soccer matches. There was just one problem: According to FIFA, it wasn't big enough.

The Ekaterinburg Arena has a capacity of 27,000, but FIFA's guidelines require seating for at least 35,000. Rebuilding a perfectly good soccer stadium seemed silly so the powers that be decided to go with a less silly (we guess) idea of building additional seating outside the stadium. That's right, outside the stadium. Check it out:

It should come as no shock that Gary Player, even as he approaches his 82nd birthday, has some pretty nifty dance moves. Even less of a surprise? They incorporate his golf swing.

Not exactly John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, but pretty impressive nonetheless — especially Player using the transition of the downswing to transition into some sort of swirling motion. Smooth. Thanks, Gary. I've got a wedding to go to this weekend, and I just might give that one a try.
