It's not quite as crazy as the 13-wood one of my grandpa's buddy used to play, but it certainly gives being between a "soft 9" and a "hard 10" quite a different meaning. . .

Actually, a 10-iron has a special place in golf history. Charles Coody used one during his 1971 Masters win, and the club is enshrined in Augusta National's trophy room. But still, this is a rare one.

Tanihara, 39, is a 14-time winner on the Japan Golf Tour who made it to the semifinals of last year's WGC World Match Play. And if he brings this bad boy to that event this year, he could definitely throw off anyone trying to copy his club selection.
