One of the effects of the PGA Championship moving to May is the possibility that some of the country’s best golf courses potentially playing host to a future PGA. Though August presented struggles for clubs that previously held majors (Southern Hills, future site of the PGA some time before 2030) or California courses, where the PGA hasn’t been since Riviera C.C. in 1995, the new date now brings some intriguing potential for other major-caliber courses. The PGA has been played in May four times in the past, with venues ranging across the country: 1937 (Pittsburgh Field Club); 1942 (Seaview outside Atlantic City), 1948 (Norwood Hills in St. Louis) and 1949 (Hermitage C.C. in Richmond, Va.), but it has been held outside of August only twice since 1965. Now with the PGA heading to May in 2019, here are some courses—some surprises, and others that many have speculated might to jump back into the rotation—where we’d like to see the PGA Championship hosted in years to come.

Korda has been playing with tape on her left forearm throughout this season, but the injury flared up at the Ricoh Women’s British Open. The condition was serious enough to cause Korda to withdraw after the first round of the Women's British Open. Though apparently hoping for a speedy recovery, the start of the Solheim Cup on Aug. 18 was not ample enough time to recover.
Solheim Cup Captain Juli Inkster was traveling back to the States at the time of Korda's post and was unavailable for comment and the LPGA had not made an announcement on a replacement.
No announcement has been made by either the LPGA or Inkster on who Korda..

A formal announcement is expected at a Tuesday afternoon press conference at Quail Hollow Club with PGA CEO Pete Bevacqua and PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan.
The change in the schedule will start in 2019 at New York’s Bethpage Black.
Sources say that PGA of America officials have been quietly contemplating moving the event, shifting it to the second major in the calendar year, since as early as 2013. The potential move became more public when Monahan suggested earlier this year as he took his commissioner post that the PGA Tour would be willing to shift..

(Photo by Andrew Redington/Getty Images)The PGA of America’s decision to move its flagship event, the PGA Championship, from its long-running August date to May starting in 2019 largely has been met with approval by PGA Tour players, though mostly because of expectations of the ripple effect in the split-calendar season.

“I know why it’s happening. I get it. I certainly applaud the PGA of America in helping the PGA Tour out,” said two-time major winner Zach Johnson. “It does he..
