SAN DIEGO (AP) Tiger Woods was everywhere but the fairway and putted for birdie on only half of his holes. He still managed a 2-under 70 and was in the middle of the pack going into the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open.
Woods relied on a number of big putts and a sharp short game for a decent score Saturday.
He described his round as ”gross,” although he was proud of his score.

He gave his back a good workout in the rough. Woods has hit only three fairways each of the last two days at Torrey Pines.
Woods is playing the PGA Tour for only the second time since August 2015. He had two back surgeries that fall, returned last year and then went through spinal fusion surgery in April.
