After a red-hot start to his third round, Tiger Woods was officially back in contention at a major championship, once again sending social media into a full-blown frenzy. With his fifth birdie of the day at the par-5 eighth hole it became a matter of when, not if, he'd take the lead. The only thing left to wonder was by how many shots.

But then his putter failed him, with Woods making 10 straight pars, including a gutting three-putt par at the 17th, to close out a four-under 66. Sure, he was still in contention just four off the lead heading into Sunday (the same amount he was back at Carnoustie), but the deflating end to Saturday left his fans not optimistic about a comeback.
Then, he arrived at Bellerive on Sunday just before noon local time, rocking an absolutely savage backwards hat-sunglasses combination that suggested the rest of the field should just go home, because Tiger had already won his 15th major:
