Yankees MVP DJ LeMahieu admits he’s an awful quote after giving series of awful quotes in a hilarious interview
There is no question that DJ LeMahieu has been the most valuable player of the New York Yankees this season, which is insane given A. he was signed for depth purposes by general manager Brian Cashman, and B. Cashman admitted in a radio interview last week that it took convincing from others in the organization that LeMahieu was a guy they should look at. With all the star power the Yanks possessed heading into 2019, the guy who signed a two-year, $24 million deal to be a utility player ended up putting himself in the actual AL MVP conversation for a brief period of time.

Any time a player explodes the way LeMahieu has in the Bronx, there's a chance he'll become a huge star both on and off the field. But LeMahieu is a quiet, reserved, somewhat mysterious guy, evidenced by perhaps his biggest moment so far in pinstripes, when he hit a homer in Game 1 of ..
Rickie Fowler shares first photos from his wedding to Allison Stokke, possibly wore Pumas to ceremony
After popping the big question on a beach, it should come as no surprise that Rickie Fowler married Allison Stokke on one as well. Nor that the laid-back, SoCal-born golfer wore sneakers to the ceremony. Although, there was a stunning lack of orange in the Oklahoma State product's outfit.

We know all this because Fowler finally shared some photos from last week's nuptials. The five-time PGA Tour winner wore a blue suit and what appeared to be white Pumas with a white T-shirt. Hey, beach weddings are supposed to be more a casual. Meanwhile, Allison, the famed pole vaulter and fitness model, wore a white dress. Boring. Kidding. Have a look:

As you can see, Fowler shed the sneaks for the walk on the sand. Smart. Gotta keep those puppies fresh.
We also know Marcy Blum planned the wedding. Blum also planned weddings for NBA stars LeBron James and Andre Iguodala.

Big Papi spiking Frank Thomas’ water bottle was the only good thing to come out of Game 5 of Astros-Rays
We're not breaking any news in saying that the NBA on TNT crew is the best when it comes to pre- and post-game coverage. And it's not even because of their coverage of the game, it's more them just having fun and making people laugh, including themselves. Up until the MLB Playoffs a few years ago, when FOX teamed up Kevin Burkhardt, Alex Rodriguez, Pete Rose and Frank Thomas, no other sport had anything like it. Then Rose got into a little trouble, as he often does, thus breaking up what was a good thing.
But FOX did find a good replacement in David Ortiz, who looks remarkably good on set this postseason despite being shot this past June in one of the more mysterious stories of the year in sports. On Thursday night, prior to Game 5 of the ALDS between the Houston Astros and the Tampa Bay Rays, the FOX crew had their NBA on TNT-type viral moment, when Big Papi could be seen spiking the Big Hurt's water bottle before the pre-game show:

European Tour winner gets interrupted by his fiancée closing port-o-potty door, has classic reaction
We've seen some spectacular WAG-related moments during European Tour events in recent years from victorious caddying to on-course proposals. This, involving Tyrrell Hatton and his fiancée, however, was not one of those moments. Not that is wasn't just as entertaining.

The European Tour winner was making his way around Rome's Olgiata quite nicely during Friday's second round of the Italian Open when a loud noise caused him to back off an approach shot on the 11th hole. Hatton must have known right away the sound came from the slamming of a port-o-potty, but he had no clue who was the cause until he angrily glanced over to see. . . his fiancée. It's a good thing, because if golf fans know anything about Hatton it's that he can get, well, hOtton the course. See what we did there? Sorry.
Anyway, Hatton called out his fiancée and the cameraman did a brilliant job panning over to catch her..
