Looks like the bunker lesson Rory McIlroy gave Justin Timberlake is paying off

Last month, at the Omega European Masters, a video of Rory McIlroy giving a bunker lesson to Justin Timberlake went viral. In it McIlroy can be heard and seen getting pretty technical with his bunker approach. As Timberlake looked on and nodded in agreement at everything the Northern Irishman was saying, McIlroy then put what he was describing into action, and he nearly holed the shot:

Timberlake, who plays off a 1 handicap, is probably a fine bunker player, but when someone like Rory is dishing out free advice, you listen. But it's one thing to listen closely, it's another to go practice what McIlroy taught him and then execute it. Apparently, Timberlake not only took mental notes, but he must have practiced his bunker play in the weeks to follow, and it paid off on Thursday at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where JT is one of the many celebrities in the field. Here he is at Carnoustie playing from a pot bunker and needing to carry a burn to ..

Aaron Judge crafts apt metaphor for AL East dominance, smacks BP bomb into The Trop banners

Aaron Judge has more pop than an RC Cola factory. This we know. This we've seen time and time again as he's smashed rookie home run records, conquered the Home Run Derby, and miss-hit countless homers to opposite field. In other words, it takes one hell of a Judge dinger to move the needle these days (get your mind out the gutter, sickos), but on Wednesday night, he delivered exactly that in BP at The Trop, turning on a pitch and giving it a ride all the way into the Rays' 2008 AL East Championship banner in left. HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT THE HOME OF BASEBALL LIKE THAT, AARON.

Honestly, given both the state of Judge and The Trop, we're surprised (and thankful) the whole structure didn't come crumbling down.
Despite an injury curtailed 2019, Judge is getting healthy at just the right time for the Yankees, who are currently vying for the best overall record in baseball, sitting 2.5 back of the Astros with th..

Two grown men brought their gloves to a baseball game and still couldn’t catch a ball hit directly at them

Once you hit a certain age as a sports fan, some things are just not okay. Among them: wearing a jersey, putting on face paint/wearing a costume or bringing your baseball glove to a game. Sure, there are exceptions, like if you bring your son and he wants to bring his glove too, or if you're Foul Ball Guy, who is obviously a little bit of a weird dude but snagging balls at baseball games is his thing. Other than those two exceptions though, you cannot be wearing a baseball mitt to a game as a 35-year-old.

But hey, to each their own. This is America after all. If you want to bring your glove and sit there for nine innings waiting for a baseball that will never, ever come in your direction, go for it. That said, if by some miracle one does come to you, you better freaking catch it.
Two grown men found themselves in this exact situation on Wednesday night at the St. Louis Cardinals-Arizona Diamondbacks game in Phoenix. ..

Max Homa celebrated his dog Scotty’s fourth birthday…on Twitter of course

There's a lot of bad stuff on social media—we don't need to get into any of that right now—but we can always fall back on pictures of dogs. Thankfully on Wednesday, in a Twitter treat, Max Homa alerted us all that his pup, Scotty, was celebrating her fourth birthday.

As a professional, let me just say that this is a cute dog that deserves a treat on her special day. As a non-professional, let me just say th…LOOK AT THOSE BIG EYES. WHO'S A GOOD GIRL? WHO'S A GOOD PUPPY?

Since Scotty's birthday is September 25th, we all know that she is, of course, a Libra. For a Libra breakdown, I checked in over at Allure to see how the stars (or whatever astrology uses for prognostications) depict Scotty.
“Libras adore high art, intellectualism, and connoisseurship. Suave Libras need to surround themsel..
