Ohio man builds real-life Field of Dreams in backyard for himself—er—his five-year-old son

If you build it, they will come. So goes the iconic line in the overrated 80s heartstring plucker Field of Dreams. In the case of K-Cos, “they” happens to refer to a bunch of creepy baseball ghosts wandering out of the cornfield like aliens in Signs, but in the case of Jason Kidd (no, not that one), the inspiration to build a baseball diamond in the front yard of his Cleveland home came from a slightly more terrestrial source:
His 5-year-old son.
“About two years ago my son and I were playing with his plastic T-ball set,” Kidd told WKNY Channel 3, “He asked if we could build a baseball field in the backyard. I kind of blew him off. But I started thinking about it. Then I started measuring to see if we have room, and now I have a baseball field.”
Indeed you do, Jason. Indeed you do.

Virginia’s Ty Jerome wore an incredible shirt with a UMBC logo on it to summer league

Ever since the University of Virginia's epic victory over Texas Tech in the NCAA men's basketball title game, now-former Cavs point guard Ty Jerome has been on an all-out troll tour. First, he started by going after Stephen A. Smith, who had said he hated watching Virginia because of the team's boring style of play.
“I just feel so bad for Stephen A. Smith,” Jerome told Sports Illustrated two days after the championship game. “He said he hated watching us. And he had to watch us every single round of the tournament. I feel so bad for him. It must have been so hard for him.”

Just a few days later, Jerome directed his ire at New York sports radio legend Mike Francesa, who had invited Jerome on the show to discuss UVA's impressive tourney run. In previewing the tournament, Francesa had claimed to a caller that Virginia couldn't play offense, and this ..

Miguel Angel Jimenez executes the #BottleCapChallenge with ease, might incorporate it into his daily stretching routine

Miguel Angel Jimenez has been a little quiet lately. At least as far as producing content is concerned. Not to say we were worried about him—we'd like to think less golf means more downtime, which means more Cohiba cigars and fine Spanish wine. Life is always good for the world's most interesting golfer. The 55-year-old Spaniard has only played two European Tour events in 2019, but he finished T-6 a couple weeks ago at the U.S. Senior Open. So he's still competing, just not regularly.
Jimenez checked in on Tuesday from the Senior Players, being contested at Firestone Country Club in Ohio, the old site of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. From the looks of it, Jimenez is doing well for himself—it looks like he's partying like it's 2007 in this video. Aviators still look great. Expensive watch and belt in tow. And with Jedi-like concentration, Jimenez executed the #BottleCapChallenge with ease . . . proving yet again that Jimenez ages well, just like the fine win..

A funky golf swing that has taken the golf world by storm in the past year will be on display at this week's John Deere Classic. That's right, everyone. Ho-sung Choi has taken his talents to the Quad Cities!
Oh, right. Matthew Wolff will be there as well.
Fresh off his thrilling win at the 3M Open, the 20-year-old Wolff is the flavor of the month on Golf Twitter, but Ho-sung has been going viral all the way since last June. And now he'll get his second crack at playing in a PGA Tour event after also previously getting a sponsor exemption at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

But first, in what we're guessing wasn't a coincidence, both guys with eccentric—and ELECTRIC—golf swings practiced side-by-side on the range at TPC Deere Run on Tuesday. And what a sight it was:

Sadly, these two will not be swinging their swings together come Thursday as Choi is paired ..
