Dustin Johnson gets asked if he remembers the week after his U.S. Open victory, responds in typical Dustin fashion

Warren LittleDustin Johnson has proved countless times throughout his career that he doesn't let things that happened in the past bother him. Ditto that for things that are out of his control. He got over the 82 at Pebble Beach in 2010, he got over the bunker fiasco at Whistling Straits and he quickly got over having a potential penalty looming over his head at Oakmont in 2016. It's almost like he just flat-out forgets things on purpose.
RELATED: Dustin Johnson is actually a golf savant
Johnson's useful memory loss isn't just limited to the bad things either. On Wednesday, during his press conference at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, a reporter asked Johnson if he could “take us back to that next tournament after winning the U.S. Open [in 2016]? Did you have to totally like forget about winning it and the accomplishment and focus on the next thing?”
Before the reporter could finish the question, Johnson was already making facial gestures that would indicate that he di..

Don Nelson says he played poker around a dead guy (yep) and smokes a lot of weed in wild “Real Sports” interview

What's Don Nelson doing in retirement? Exactly what you'd expect Don Nelson to be doing in retirement. Smoking a LOT of weed. So much, in fact, that the former Mavericks and maverick NBA coach actually spends much of his time now growing the stuff.
“You've got to treat it like a baby,” Nelson tells Bryant Gumble of his prized crop during the latest episode of HBO's Real Sports. “You've got to water them. You've got to have music for them. You've got to bless them when you go in. It's a whole process, I'm telling you.”

Maybe that's why houseplants never survive in my dining room. I always thought it was a lack of sunlight, but maybe I need to be playing more MUSIC. Amazing.
Anyway, in a one-minute clip previewing the June 25th episode, that (somehow) isn't even the best part. No, the best part is when Nellie tells the story about one of his buddies dying in his man cave during..

Mets pitcher goes headhunting, Joe West decides to toss Phillies manager Gabe Kapler for some reason

Believe it or not, the umpire who made the worst ball call in recent history in the Yankees-Blue Jays game a few weeks back was NOT Joe West. It was actually Angel Hernandez, who is the clear worst umpire in the MLB crown holder at the moment. But West is always lurking in the shadows looking to usurp his P.I.C. Angel. Leave it to the Mets and Phillies to get Joe back in the conversation.

On Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park, the Mess Mets jumped out to a 5-2 lead that their bullpen promptly blew as only they can, giving up five runs in the bottom of the sixth, three via a pair of home runs hit by Maikel Franco and Brad Miller. Miller, who had yet to hit a homer in the 20 games he played this season, gave it a strong pimp, even sticking his tongue out toward his own dugout has he began his trot around the bases. In fairness to the Phils, all they were doing was celebrating to each other, and there did not s..

Tweets, beefs, and birdies: Ranking the PGA Tour’s content kings

With the advent of the wraparound season on the PGA Tour, golf publications around the world gave a collective golf clap. There will be year-round high-level golf, decreed the powers that be—sacrificing an off-season to satisfy the greedy content gods. Yes, the move was done to line the tour’s pockets, but another result was lining golf websites with sweet, sweet unique visitors that keep editors’ hearts warm even during those dark winter nights. Still, there are slow days and even off-weeks (if you look closely enough) on the calendar. And in those gaps, it is the PGA Tour content kings who we count on to keep us nourished with engaging social media accounts, big announcements, and, yes, a bit of controversy. So who are these mythical figures?
First, some ground rules. This is not just a list of the biggest newsmakers in the game, although, stature and visibility certainly play a role in how much content a player is able to generate. For instance, if Scott Stallings (lovely guy, by th..
