Whether he's playing or spectating, rarely will you see Michael Jordan in a golf setting without a cigar in hand. Seriously, just type in “Michael Jordan golfing” into your Google search bar and it's hard to find a picture where he isn't puffing away on the course, like a boss:
FacebookPinterestSam GreenwoodFacebookPinterestDavid CannonFacebookPinterestIsaac BrekkenHis love for stogies is no secret, something he made clear in a 2005 interview with Cigar Aficionado. Twelve years later, the six-time NBA champion sat down once again with the publication for a rare interview in which they discussed everything from the PGA Tour's young stars to the amount of cigars he smokes per day. Would you believe it if I said the number is equal to his championship rings?
“I smoke.. six cigars a day, maybe,” Jordan said to Cigar Aficionado publisher Marvin Shanken.
Six!? Goodness gracious MJ, that is a lot of smoking. It's understandable though, considering the amount of golf h..

There's fandom, and then there's obsession. Fandom is remortgaging your home for an out-of-market streaming package. Fandom is sitting on the couch in a player who retired 12 years ago's jersey bellowing every swear in the swear book at the sheetrock. Obsession is buying a $1,500 poodle, shaving it, dying it, and painting it to reflect your love of a warm-weather hockey team who has never won the Stanley Cup. If that sounds oddly specific, that's because it's absolutely is. Meet Wesley the PoodleShark, everyone:

With details of the FBI's three-year corruption investigation into the NCAA just being made public last month, it's not a surprise that the federal probe would be the big topic of media days across the country. Also not surprising? University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari not wanting to talk about it. At all.

John Calipari and his program haven't been linked to the investigation, but it already took down Louisville's Rick Pitino. After being asked about the probe and his rival head coach on Thursday, Calipari waved off another FBI-related question in hopes of getting asked about his team for the upcoming season. And that's when a confrontation between Calipari and Lexington-Herald Leader reporter Jerry Tipton happened.

“This is a media day, not coach day,” Tipton says before getting to ask his question. Of course, ..

Once in a great while, this giant spinning space rock in the sky produces phenomena that simply can’t be explained by logic or science. The Nazca lines, Roanoke, buffalo sauce lattes, Stonehenge, the pyram—wait wait wait. Go back.
BUFFALO LATTES?
Yep, you heard right. This morning, northern continental coffee giant Tim Horton’s took to Instagram to announce the world’s first (and hopefully last) Buffalo-flavored latte. BEHOLD, THE 8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD!

Conceived to celebrate the brand’s new espresso line in the Buffalo area, this blaze-orange ipecac captures the city’s sloppy-fingered ethos in a single cup, blending espresso, mocha, steamed milk, buffalo-sauce flavor, and a buffalo seasoning-dusted whipped cream into a zesty, early-morning pick-me-up that will probably be a hit with people who also put ranch dressing on their pizza. The beverage, served hot (obviously), will be available until 10/20 at select Buffalo metro Tim Hortons.

Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, FilmStruck, HBO Now, SlingTV, FuboTV, NBC Sports Gold, and on and on into the cold, cordless future. It should come as no surprise to anyone but grandpa, but we’ll say it anyway: Streaming is the way of the future. Seemingly everyone with anything to sell has launched their own a la carte platform offering a variety of pre-selected options to consume, night in, night out until the grid collapses and the world plunges into darkness. Now Porsche is set to bring that same approach to the auto industry.
Dubbed Porsche Passport, Porsche’s new monthly subscription program—the first of its kind for a major auto manufacturer—offers members unlimited access to a pre-selected set of vehicles, that they can then drive and swap and mix and match in a flexible series of micro-leases that will allow drivers to experience the full range of Porsche vehicles for half the price of a single Porsche vehicle. If this sounds like a deal to you, that’s because it is.

Titleist's new three-piece, urethane-covered golf ball called the AVX has hit the shelves in golf shops in select markets.

Have you ever ordered a “John Daly”? You probably have, even if you don't realize it. That's because over the years, an “Arnold Palmer” with vodka has evolved into a cocktail named after the two-time major champ. And now, Daly is finally cashing in on that fact with the release of his “official” drink. Smart move, JD.

Notice that hashtag, #8percent. With that alcohol by volume, this drink isn't for the meek.
You're probably wondering, What took him so long?! But actually, this is Daly's second attempt at launching his own branded beverage. In 2012, Daly released a similar line of drink a couple years after getting upset that restaurants were using his name to sell the cocktails without his authorization.
The new drink is available on Daly's website and in select liquor stores. Just a hunch, but it will also be served in his new steakhouse in Arkansas. From opening restaurants to product launches to making cuts on the PGA Tour, it&#..

Collecting sports memorbilla can be an expensive pastime. Tiger Woods' backup putter recently went for $29,000, while an authentic green jacket from Augusta National sold for $140,000 this spring this year (and the coat didn't even belong to a famous member). Keeping that figure in mind, the listed price for Rory McIlroy's childhood home is a steal.
Located in McIlroy's hometown of Holywood, this cozy abode has four bedrooms and is a close walk to many downtown amenities. More importantly, the residence is awash in evidence of the four-time major winner's upbringing, as the property has an indoor hitting bay and outdoor putting green.
FacebookPinterestBetter yet, the house is going for an extremely reasonable £239,950 (around $315,000). It's an investment to get in on now, for, as the listing states, it's the former home of “world class golfer” Rory McIlroy. Think how much this bad boy will go for once you can add “Grand Slam winner” to the title.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) Justin Thomas collected the Jack Nicklaus Award as the U.S. PGA Tour player of the year a couple of days before heading to Malaysia in a bid to win his third successive CIMB Classic.

Little wonder then the two-time defending champion was slightly off his game in the first round on Thursday, managing only a 2-under-par 70 to sit six strokes behind leader Cameron Smith of Australia.

Smith opened with a blemish-free 8-under 64 and leads a U.S. PGA Tour event after the first round for the first time in 64 starts.

Keegan Bradley, Xander Schauffele and Poom Saksansin of Thailand were tied for second at 7 under.

Brendan Steele, coming off a victory last week at the Safeway Open, had an opening 67 to be three shots off the lead.

Thomas has barely had time to catch his breath after winning the FedEx Cup and playing in the Presidents Cup. He won his first tour title here two years ago. He successfully defended it last year, and has had a transformative 2017 ..
