Warren LittleListen, we're all for positivity and optimism and all the mumbo, jumbo your mom sends you emails about three times a week (it can't be just my mom), but even hope has its limits. Sure, every day they don't pull your Power Ball numbers, the better your odds become the next. Hell, even math says the Lions have to make a Super Bowl some day. When it comes to plunking down cold, hard cash, however, you generally want better odds than “technically it's possible,” something this bettor, who took Tiger Woods to win golf's 2019 Grand Slam at Westgate Las Vegas Superbook this week, has apparently yet to learn.

Now five bucks doesn't seem like much, especially at 500-1. For the cost of a Coors Light, this hopeful Tiger stan gave themself a (very remote) shot at $2,500 actual American dollars. The problem? Only one player in the modern golf era, Bobby Jones, has completed a true Grand Slam. And..

The Rock gives Lovett baseball team highway pep talk, team goes on to win 23-1
NBCCan you smell what The Rock is cooking? No, it's not tequila or a new trailer for this summer's Jason Statham co-starring Fast and the Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, though both of those things are surely on the way. That aroma you smell wafting in from the kitchen is instead a hearty stew of capital-m Motivation. On Monday The Rock posted a video to his epic Instagram in which he was recognized while sitting in traffic by a bus full of kids going to a baseball game. In typical Rock fashion, he promptly rolled the window down and gave them a little rolling pep talk in a video that has now racked up over 18.9 MILLION VIEWS on his page alone. Check it out below if you don't believe something this awesome can still exist on the hellgate we call a planet earth.

People are actually betting on Tony Romo to have a decent first round in this week’s PGA Tour event
Tony Romo will try to better the rounds of 77 and 82 he shot in his PGA Tour debut last year at this week's Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. And apparently, people are betting on him doing just that.

A prop bet for the first-round score of the part-time CBS analyst/part-time celebrity golfer opened at 79.5 (an average of his scores at the event last year) last week. But on the eve of the tournament, Westgate Las Vegas Superbook golf oddsmaker Jeff Sherman said that number had been “bet down” to 77.5. That's some pretty sharp movement as gamblers like to say. Or so I've heard. . .

As for bets on Tony to actually win the event? There doesn't appear to be anyone taking the bait there. Romo opened up at 2,000-to-1 odds, but has since been dropped by Westgate to 10,000-to-1. Hmm. You know what a wise man once said about those ki..
Beacon of hope for all mankind loses 25 pounds on beer-only diet
Cavan ImagesIt's spring and for the millions upon millions of people who prescribe to the Christian faith, Lent. Across the western world, self-imposed deprivation is at an annual high, with human beings from Arkansas to Alaska giving up everything from Reese's pieces to HBO in anticipation of t-shirt season and, of course, the resurrection of Christ. It is a time of great suffering and great temptation, but one lone genius has managed to find a loophole in the system. His name? Del Hall. His game? Giving up food for 40 days and 40 nights to embark on a beer-only spirit quest the likes of which only legend has seen.
According to Hall, his psuedo-sacrifice is a tribute to 17th century Paulaner monks, who used to brew an unusually strong doppelbock called “Salvator” for Lent, drawing strength exclusively from its contents during the six weeks preceding Easter.
FacebookPinterest”Just like the monks used to do it back in the 1600s, I'm going to do the same thing,” Hall solem..
