Welcome to another edition of The Grind, where we’re realizing, sadly, that booking a buddies golf trip gets more difficult as you get older. There are anniversaries, kids, and now even graduations of said kids to consider in the planning. Still, I was excited to reveal that Pinehurst had won the coveted bid for this year’s HGGA Championship, which has moved to August to replace the PGA Championship on the golf calendar. And then our gang found out that Pinehurst had already accepted another bid — to host the U.S. Kids World Championship.

Ho-sungMadness?) is very real, and while we're still three events away, one of them potentially including Tiger Woods (!), golf fans are counting the days until he helicopter-follow-throughs his opening tee shot at Pebble. The people want Ho-sung and they want him now, and you can count Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers among them.

Now Henrik is a noted Funny Guy™, so when the angry voicemail from his wife comes through on Tuesday morning, he can probably wink-and-nudge this down to a weekend on the couch. But still, this seems like a pretty risky move for the traditionally steady operator. There a lot of three woods in the sea, Henrik. Wives, especially those able to laugh off jokes about inanimate objects mattering more than they do, are considerably harder to come by.
