Professional caddies have stories, maybe none to the degree that Jim Mackay, aka Bones, has stories from his decades working with Phil Mickelson.
Mackay, who parted ways with Mickelson two years ago and landed as an on-course reporter for NBC/Golf Channel, offered up this gem during the final-round coverage of the Sentry Tournament of Champions:

“I’ve been noticing this week that Rory’s been using a ball with the number five on it,” he said of of Rory McIlroy, playing in the final pairing at Kapalua on Sunday. “These players out here, they love some numbers on their balls and they hate others.
“When I went to work for Phil Mickelson back in the early ‘90s, he told me, “don’t ever give me a golf ball with the number two on it.’ Some years later [1994], he was in a playoff against Fred Couples at..

Davis Love III offers free BBQ (among other things) for help recovering son’s stolen truck
If you live in the Atlanta area and are a fan of Davis Love III and/or good BBQ, you should keep your eyes peeled for a white Ford Raptor. The two-time U.S. Ryder Cup captain shared a photo of the vehicle on Saturday with a caption explaining it had been stolen the night before — and he's offering quite the reward for helping recover it.

According to Love, the truck belongs to his son, Dru, a fellow tour pro whom he teamed up with last month to win the PNC Father/Son Challenge. But while it was a December to remember in the Love household, the New Year has gotten off to a rough start. The elder Love hopes a cash reward, some free golf balls, and gift certificate to Southern Soul Barbecue, of which he's a part-owner, will lead to the truck being tracked down.

Switzerland coach Christian Wohlwend outdid himself with this hilariously questionable quote
Last year at the World Juniors Switzerland head coach Christian Wohlwend took the hockey world by storm with his brutally honest assessment of his team's performance against Canada. It was a breath of fresh air for sports fans who hear the same coach speak over and over from their favorite club's skipper, not to mention Wohlwend's hilarious mannerisms and accent.
At this year's World Juniors, Wohlwend has been in similar form, and this time his squad has been incredibly impressive. After nearly upsetting Canada in the preliminary round, the Swiss made it all the way to the semifinals, where they lost to Finland on Friday, 6-1. Lucky for us, the Swiss still have a Bronze Medal game to play on Saturday, which meant Wohlwend would field questions from the media beforehand. That yielded one of the all-time great “wait, what did he just say?” quotes in recent history. Have a listen:
