DeMarcus Cousins looks good in the swatting-little-kids’-shots phase of his comeback

The Golden State Warriors still don't know when DeMarcus Cousins will return from a torn achilles tendon he suffered during last season. Not that it really matters. The Warriors are favored to win will win a fourth NBA title in five years with or without this All-Star center.

But when he does return, Steve Kerr's squad will have the luxury of adding a player who has apparently used his recovery time to dedicate himself to becoming an intimidating force on defense. At least, against little kids.

Looking good, DeMarcus. Hey, you've got to start somewhere.

Texas Robin Hood steals five cases of Bud Light WITH HIS BARE HANDS

Here at The Loop, we are reasonably anti-crime. Pull your weight in society. Obey the important laws. Bend the dumb ones. Be a good a person, and we are all chill. But when we saw this photo of a Texas man in a Larry the Cable Guy cut-off mean-mugging a security camera while swiping five cases of Bud Light from a local convenience store, we couldn't help but stand up and cheer like it was Forrest Freakin' Gump:

Now we don't know much more about this story than what you see here. We don't know if the man made a getaway by foot, pickup truck, or passing boxcar headed west. We don't know if he redistributed the beer wealth to his comrades-in-arms. We don't know if he is actually Warren Sapp or just looks absolutely identical to him. What we do know, however, is that this the greatest photo to appear on the internet all year. Just behold the tenacity…

Knicks fan makes half-court shot before anyone on the actual Knicks makes any shot to start the season

Well, it just doesn't get anymore Knicks than this, folks. A Knicks fan made the team's first basket of the 2018-19 NBA season. Not officially, of course, but still, just wow.
RELATED: NBA weighs in on James Harden's new “controversial” move
It happened at the first timeout taken by the Knicks during the team's opening game at home against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. After missing their first nine attempts from the field, New York found itself in a 10-2 hole. But a Knicks fan needed only one attempt — from half-court, no less — to finally give the Madison Square Garden crowd something to cheer about. Check out this dude perfectly going to the bank for a cool 10 Gs:

Amazing. Also amazing? How the Knicks responded, ripping off the next 12 points after the break and then breaking a franchise record with 49(!) points in the second quarter on their way to a surprisingly easy win. THE KNICKS ARE BACK!

College GameDay forces Pullman, Washington to declare state of emergency

Michael ShroyerDespite the pageantry, the signage, and the Corso cosplay, I've always thought that the best place to experience ESPN's College GameDay is from the comfort of your couch. There's no waking up at 3am PST to stake out your spot. There's no worrying about the forecast in Ann Arbor in late November. You don't even have to put on pants if you don't want to/your roommates are cool with it. This is a bit of Grinch-ian take to be sure, but if reports out of Pullman, Washington this week are correct, then so am I.
According to Pullman Radio, the small Washington town (and home of Ryan Leaf alma mater, Washington State University) have declared a state of emergency ahead of this weekend's arrival of College GameDay. Huh, can't imagine why…

Apparently Pullman City council approved the emergency declaration on Tuesday night, largely because of a shortage of buses needed to ferry the ebbing, drunken throng of Cougar f..

Watch Clippers monster Boban Marjanovic dunk without even having to jump

John McCoyLob City may be dormant ruins now, but it was once a vibrant civilization run entirely on windmill power—one where no child went to sleep hungry for alley-oops and no adult wanted for fastbreak slammage. Those halcyon days have long since faded, of course. Supreme Chancellor Blake Griffin fled north, while his right-hand man, Chris Paul, allied with more powerful sorcerers to the south, but in the still and the dark of Lob City, one monster still lurks. His name? Boban Marjanovic.

What you see before you is the Clippers center and John Wick 3 star dunking on the entire Denver community without EVER HAVING TO LEAVE THE FLOOR. Yes, yes, we know, he jumps. A little, tiny, itty, bitty jump. But he doesn't have to, made abundantly clear by this shot of Boban the Powerful hanging on the rim and standing on the court AT THE SAME TIME:

Red Sox radio broadcaster falls out of seat during final out, making for a hilarious sound bite

Billie Weiss/Boston Red SoxGame 4 of the ALCS gave fans everything one could possibly want in an MLB Playoff tilt. It had clutch hits, unbelievable defensive plays, plenty of controversy and a heart-stopping final out that will be remembered for years to come. It was the type of game that not only ran both the Astros and Red Sox fanbases through the gamut of emotions, but regular baseball fans as well. The highs and lows of playoff baseball were on full display, which at times can feel like too much too handle.
For Boston Red Sox radio broadcaster Joe Castiglione, it was too much too handle. With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel was on the verge of blowing a two-run lead and allowing the Astros to tie the series. Houston third baseman Alex Bregman stepped to the plate and immediately swung at the first pitch, lining a potential game-tying or game-winning hit to left field, only for Andrew Benintendi to make the catch of his life. Ca..
