Shirtless J.R. Smith returned, proving all is right with the world
Ezra Shaw(Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)The Cleveland Browns won their first game in forever on Thursday night. But that's burying the lede out of Cuyahoga County. For the real story is not Baker Mayfield's performance, but the performance of one Earl Joseph Smith.
The man they call “J.R” made a promise to the good people that reside in the Mistake by the Lake: If the Browns accidentally won, he would go shirtless, conjuring memories of his epic week-long run sans shell after the Cavaliers won the NBA title in 2016.

Such is the case this week as PGA Tour pro Kyle Thompson tossed out three of his old golf bags only to see someone drive by and scoop them up. You're probably thinking, What's the big deal? Those staff bags are cool. I'd snag them as well. Perhaps. But Thompson promises “they were in bad shape.” Regardless, the video Thompson captured of this going down (2nd slide of Instagram) is pretty funny:

Look how stealthy that guy is. He even left the door of his truck open while he scooped up the bags and put them in the back so he could hop back in and make a quicker/quieter getaway. That's a pro move right there. Which led to the other pro move of trying to turn, um, acquired goods into cash. Thompson, a five-time winner on the Web.com Tour, did a little investigating and . . . boom:
