Steph Curry substantiates rumor that his love of golf caused the Minnesota Timberwolves to pass on him in the NBA Draft

(Photo by Lachlan Cunningham/Getty Images)The Minnesota Timberwolves already offend the sensibilities with their style of play, or lack thereof. The confirmation of this story on why they passed on Steph Curry, however, might send their remaining fans into cardiac arrest.
The team infamously ignored Curry twice in the 2009 NBA Draft, instead selecting Ricky Rubio and the immortal Jonny Flynn. (Immortal is the word we're looking for, right?) As Curry's developed into one of the faces of the league, rumors grew that former Minnesota executive David Kahn didn't want the lights-out shooter due to Curry's love of golf. While a fantastic urban legend and somewhat believable—Kahn was one of the worst front-office personalities in NBA history—it seemed to border on the apocryphal.
Except Curry added fuel t..

How many swings would it take Tiger Woods to earn your yearly salary? This fun tool let’s you figure it out
From weekly $1 million-plus prizes to the $10 million bonus on the line for the upcoming FedEx Cup, it's a well-known fact that PGA Tour stars are paid handsomely. But it might still surprise you to learn just how much they earn per shot. And just how many shots — or really, how few shots — they need to hit to earn your yearly salary.

Noob.norm's David McSweeney is back with his latest project combining golf and numbers. Previously, McSweeney figured out how much Tiger Woods has earned per shot in his career vs. other PGA Tour starts, and broken down how much Woods has earned in each state. Now he's taken the data from the former and created a fun tool that allows you to figure out how quickly these great golfers earn your wage. Well, fun, and kind of depressing unless you're a CEO making bank.
Here's how the tool looks:

Yes, there are golf board games (and some are kind of fun)
If you’re here, you know that golf, while fun, generally requires the inconvenience of traveling outdoors. Outdoors is dangerous. That’s where you find wind, traffic, birds and the people who run Twitter. Happily, over the years, a great many board game companies have provided ways for you to enjoy the sport’s heartbreaks and frustrations without ever heaving yourself forth from the squishy comforts of your La-Z-Boy. Here, the first of an occasional series reviewing the history of golf board games:
Epyx VCR Golf (1988)
FacebookPinterestVideo nerds of a certain vintage will remember Epyx as the company behind such Commodore 64 bangers as Summer Games, Winter Games and Impossible Mission, which everyone enjoyed despite it being physically, legitimately impossible. (This is marketing at its finest; imagine making millions on a car you can’t start.)
Following its Olympic-themed domination of the C64, Epyx shifted into the nascent world of VCR games, which you will be shocked to learn laste..
Did Brooks Koepka really recover faster from a wrist injury because of his work with a horse chiropractor?
(Photo by Ross Kinnaird/Getty Images)Brooks Koepka's successful, two-major season hasn't been without some bumps in the road. The U.S. Open and PGA Championship champion missed the Masters this season with a wrist injury, which also caused Koepka to miss the first four months of the season. Though the details behind the wrist injury aren't too known, what we now know is a method Koepka used to recover from his injury: a horse chiropractor.
No, you're not alone if you didn't know that a horse chiropractor was a thing until reading this headline. We did a double take after reading the comments from Koepka's short-game coach, Pete Cowen, in an interview with The Telegraph that published yesterday.
A visit to a horse chiropractor was all it took to cure Koepka's wrist, according to Cowen:
“He went to see a horse chiropractor—god knows where he found him,” Cowen told The Telegraph. [And the chiropractor] immediately said, ‘I know what’s wrong with that’ an..
Tiger Woods’ caddie Joe LaCava shares funny story about paying a heckler to leave golf tournament
Warren Little/R&AIf golf fans heard anything more often than that darn One Republic song during TV coverage of last week's PGA Championship, it was that St. Louis is a GREAT SPORTS TOWN. And according to Tiger Woods' caddie, Joe LaCava, this reputation was displayed not only by the huge crowds that flocked to Bellerive for the tournament, but by the classy manner fans handled themselves. Sadly, though, that's not always the case.
Fresh off looping for Tiger during that memorable final-round charge, LaCava was a guest Wednesday on ESPN's Golic and Wingo, and he shared a funny story from Firestone the previous week. Apparently, some knucklehead was heckling Woods during the final round of the WGC-Bridgestone before LaCava stepped in. Asking politely didn't get the guy to stop, so he went to a different strategy.
