No one has ever wanted to catch a foul ball more than this Dodgers fan who sacrificed TWO full meals

A Dodgers fan lucked into the perfect seat for foul ball hunting on Wednesday night at Oracle Park. His timing just couldn't have been worse.
Within 30 minutes, two baseballs found their way to some guy's grasp, but unfortunately, he had his hands full on both occasions. With food. Lots of food.

Thankfully, this was all caught by cameras because you probably wouldn't believe it otherwise. Here's the first foul ball, which resulted in a tray of fries and a hot dog getting dumped.

That's about $20 wasted, but at least the dude wound up with the baseball. A bit later, he wasn't as fortunate. This time, he lost some pizza—and his balance—while trying to reel in another ball. Check it out:

Carolina Hurricanes Twitter account murders the New York Islanders. This series is all but over

Trailing 2-0 in the series, it was safe to declare Game 3 a must-win for the New York Islanders against the Carolina Hurricanes. That the game was on the road at a raucous PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C., made the task that much taller, but the Isles appeared to be up to it early in the game.
Less than seven minutes in, Hurricanes winger Teuvo Teravainen potted the game's first goal, his fourth of the playoffs. The Isles responded quickly, with Devon Toews tying the game at 1-1 less than two minutes later on the power play, a clear signal that New York was not backing down. In the second period, they had a chance to take the lead on another power play, but as it ended Carolina defenseman Justin Falk sprung out of the penalty box and was hit with a perfect pass from teammate Warren Foegele, leading to this momentum-swinging goal:

Someone forgot to tell the city of Kansas City the Royals had a game on Wednesday

G. Newman Lowrance(Photo by G. Newman Lowrance/Getty Images)Kansas City fancies itself a baseball town. The Royals did win the World Series in 2015, made the Fall Classic the year before. It does boast one of the sport's best museums, played a small part in that sweet highlight of George Brett going bananas for getting caught cheating, and perhaps best of all, it's not St. Louis.
But being a baseball town means showing up when things aren't going well, and on that front, the Paris of the Plains falls decidedly short.
The Royals have been in a rut, DFL in the American League with a 9-20 record, and a performance that's showed at the turnstile. With almost a fifth of the season in the books, the Royals are averaging a measly 14,923 fans per game. Only Miami and Tampa—Major League Baseball's equivalent of abandoned gas stations—rank lower in attendance.
If this picture from ESPN's Jeff Passan to be believed, that figure will likely drop following Wednesday&#0..
