Local legend celebrates 106th birthday at Taco Bell
Joshua BlanchardChances are very good you're not going to make it to 106. Sorry, just the facts. But let's say you did. Let's say you exercised regularly, had a glass of red wine with dinner every night, and somehow managed to dodge over a century's worth of falling pianos and open manholes. If you did one day wake up to find the clock ticking past 105, how would you celebrate? Well, for Phoenix local Myrtis Jewel Painter, the answer was simple: Gather your friends and loved ones and head down to the local Taco Bell for a Baja Blast and a Chalupa.
RELATED: Taco Bell was somehow voted America's best Mexican “restaurant” in an actual poll
Well, actually Myrtis ordered a taco and an enchilada, but that's not really the point. The point is that a woman who has lived through women's suffrage, two World Wars, and the popularization of FREAKING CARS, decided to spend the dawn of her 106th year on earth at Taco Bell, and that is as unfathomable as it is aweso..
Brian Boyle scores hat trick on Hockey Fights Cancer night, proving good still exists in the world
Joe SargentThese days it's nothing but negativity, negativity, negativity. Division, division, division. For the past month you couldn't turn on the TV without being shouted at over some garbage that will never, ever change. Luckily, the celebs told us how to vote, when to vote and who to vote for. So that should fix everything.
Then sports come along to remind us that good still exists in this world. That good came in the form of a hat trick last night by New Jersey Devils forward Brian Boyle, who helped his team earn a much-needed victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was his first career hat trick, which is very special in its own right, but this one was way more special than any normal hat trick because it came on Hockey Fights Cancer night. Boyle, now in his 12th season in the NHL, was diagnosed with leukemia in September of 2017, and proceeded to kick cancer's ass, returning to the ice just a few months later. He wound up playing in 69 games last season, scoring..

A few Ottawa Senators blast own team, coaches during Uber ride, then get snitched on by the driver
Remember back in September when Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion was asked what he was optimistic about for the upcoming season? Dorion's response was one of the most unintentionally funny ones you'll ever hear, as he took a long pause, stared into space and simply stated “we're a team.” Technically, he was right, which was the point we made at the time. The Senators are literally a team in the National Hockey League.
Turns out, even that may be a stretch following a video that surfaced on Monday night that featured a few of Ottawa's players openly mocking not only the team's dreadful penalty kill, but the coaching staff as well. According to a few different reports, the video was taken the night of October 29 during the team's road trip in Phoenix, Arizona. In the video, you'll see and hear comments from Matt Duchene, Thomas Chabot, Dylan DeMelo, Alex Formenton, Chris Tierney, Colin White and Chris Wideman, who appears to be sitting in the front seat..

An anatomy of Michael Irvin’s ‘First Take’ meltdown
If you're shouting loud enough to make headlines on First Take—ESPN's premium shouting flagship for the better part of the last decade—then you really have to be going for it. We're talking gasket-blowing, larynx-spraining, howl-at-the-moon level stuff, which is precisely what Cowboys-receiver-turned-future-Fox-Sports-“personality” Michael Irvin delivered on Monday morning when he hopped on Stephen A. Smith's soapbox for a deep dive into a week nine matchup between the 3-4 Dallas Cowboys and equally electrifying 3-4 Titans. What was supposed to be shameless self-promo for an uninspiring MNF matchup quickly became Irvin's personal Chernobyl, sending sports Twitter running for its meme machines (and Irvin for a bottle of aspirin). But if you missed any of the insanity, don't worry. As always we're here to break it down frame-by-increasingly-excruciating frame, beginning with the full segment:

The worst bad beats of the weekend starring Texas, a team we should all stop betting on
While he's in just his second year as head coach at Texas, Tom Herman has already developed quite the reputation in the gambling community. As an underdog, Herman's Longhorns are scary good. In the two games they were getting points in this season (TCU and Oklahoma), Texas won both outright. Being the favorite has been a different story for Herman though. While the Longhorns have won many of the games they were expected to, they are 1-5 against the spread in those games this year.
This week, Texas opened as a small favorite over West Virginia, as high as -3 in some spots. Apparently, so many bettors liked the Mountaineers, and the fact the Longhorns are not a great favorite, that the line had moved all the way to WVU -1 by kickoff. Suddenly, Texas was a home underdog coming off a tough loss to Oklahoma State. Bounce back spot! Take the Longhorns on the money line and pop bottles.
With a 41-34 lead and just 24 seconds to play, the celebration had begun. Hell, Texas would have ..
Watch Bryson DeChambeau give the most Bryson DeChambeau quote ever after his latest win
OK, so maybe that headline is overselling it just a bit. After all, when it comes to Bryson DeChambeau quotes, it will be tough to ever top this one he gave after winning the Dell Technologies Championship in September.

“How much better can I get? Oh, man, in short, layman's terms, yes, absolutely, you can always get better. How much? I would say it depends on what I can do in the restrictions of my biomechanics. So it's all about air, air tolerances and being able to be more sensitive—less sensitive to air. So that when you do feel like you mess up it's not going to be that big of a mess up. I hope that makes sense.”
Nope, that makes absolutely no sense to me. But thanks for trying, Bryson.
And just earlier in the week, it came out that DeChambeau will take advantage of a new rules change and keep the pin in when he putts depending on “the coefficient of restitution of the flagstick.” OK then.
But following his..
