Stephen Curry rallied with three birdies to shoot a 1-over 71 in the first round of the Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic
Watch Stephen Curry hit the flagstick from deep, make golf look way too easy in tour event
Stephen Curry has made a career of making deep shots on the basketball court, but he's also pretty damn good from long range in his hobby. Teeing it up in the Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic for a second straight year, Curry didn't quite knock down this shot from about 160 yards on his second-to-last hole, but he also almost knocked down the flagstick. Check it out:

This guy is making competitive golf look way too easy for a basketball player. Not that we're too surprised. Curry, whose Golden State Warriors won a third NBA title in four years in June, impressed in this event last year with a pair of 74s, and on Thursday, he did even better. Thanks in part to this late birdie, the two-time NBA MVP rallied from being four over par to shooting a one-over 71. Incredible.

PGA Championship 2018: John Daly’s St. Louis Cardinals pants are bold even for John Daly
Jamie SquireJohn Daly turned heads with his attire when he showed up to the 2018 PGA Championship champions dinner wearing a St. Louis Cardinals jacket. Turns out, he was saving the matching pants for Thursday's first round.
Long known for his loud outfits on the course, these pants were bold by even JD's standards. Check these crowd-pleasing bad boys out:
FacebookPinterestJamie SquireHopefully, those are linen. St. Louis in August is pretty steamy. And here's a look at that jacket from the other night:

The pants aren't the only thing that have the crowds cheering on Daly during his opening round at Bellerive. The two-time major champ is rolling in putts from everywhere and is at even par through 12 holes.

One can only wonder what he'll do wear for an encore on Friday.

PGA Championship 2018: PGA Tour pro gets brutally bad break on near hole-in-one
Bellerive Country Club hasn't been quite the pushover it was predicted to be on Day 1 of the 2018 PGA Championship. That being said, the actual hole isn't usually supposed to be one of a golf course's defenses. But Nick Watney found out the hard way that plastic can cause a pretty hard bounce.
Playing the par-3 13th hole (Watney's fourth hole of the tournament), the five-time PGA Tour winner hit what appeared to be a perfect shot from 180 yards — only it was a little too perfect. Instead of erasing two early bogeys with a slam dunk hole-in-one, Watney's golf ball caromed off/out of the cup and wound up off the green some 20 yards away. Take a look at this brutally bad break:

Ouch. We're surprised Verne Lundquist didn't let out an “In your life!” And as Dottie Pepper pointed out, “he doesn't even get credit for a green in regulation!”
But we're happy to report Watney was at least ..

This might be the most pathetic Little League brawl yet
Just when you thought we were home clear. Just when you thought it was August and all we had to worry about from this point forward were homicidal hockey dads and Pop Warner forehead vein guys, the Little League baseball asshole had to rear his ugly head one more time. Take it away, Texas:
Look up pathetic on your interweb dictionary of choice and it's just this gif on loop:
FacebookPinterestAs is usually the case in these situations, there's no shortage of blame to go around. The parent taunting a bunch of kids by shouting “second place ain't bad!” is to blame. The coach blowing a gasket at said taunt is to blame. The guy filming the whole thing while acting righteous but slipping in little escalating jabs here and there is to blame. You know, screw it. Blame everybody but the kids. They're freaking kids and we've been over this already this week. Seriously, throw everybody in the county clink overnight. One toilet. Five idiots. 12 hours. That may seem cruel a..
Aerosmith’s original tour van found rusting away in Massachusetts woods
We hope you're ready to feel some sweet, sweet emotions, because Aerosmith's original tour van/hotel/STD clinic has apparently been found deep in the backwoods of Chesterfield, Massachusetts. Discovered by Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz on a recent episode American Pickers—a show that, speaking of revelations, is still on the air—the 1964 International Harvester Metro was located on the property of some dude name Phil, who said the van was already on the land when he bought it. It's missing a door, is rusted clean through in places, and probably needs some new spark plugs, but thankfully the important components, like the custom Aerosmith mural on the side, remain more or less intact. You'd think that would have tipped Phil off years ago, but the powers of deduction move a little slower in Western Mass I guess.
After coming across the van, the Picker Boys called in some help from founding Aerosmith member Ray “should probably have ridiculous nickname here, like 'El..
PGA Championship 2018: Tiger Woods opens bogey-double bogey, changes his shirt and promptly makes birdie
Stuart FranklinNot sure if you've heard, but it's STEAMY in St. Louis this week. Even early on Thursday morning at Bellerive, temperatures have crawled up into the 80s and it appears to be quite humid judging by the perspiration from some of the golfers finally getting the PGA Championship officially underway. It's so hot, in fact, that Tiger Woods is already on his second shirt three holes into his opening round. Yes, you read that correctly.

Following a warm warm-up session, the Tiger Tracker reported that Woods was [“drenched(https://twitter.com/GCTigerTracker/status/1027543532301635586)”] as the 14-time major winner made his way to the 10th tee. Apparently, the heat got to him early, as Woods bogeyed the par-4 10th to open the championship and followed with a disastrous double bogey at the short par-4 11th to fall to three over through two holes. At the 12th, Woods..
PGA Championship 2018: DraftKings is now offering hole-by-hole live golf bets through its sports-betting app—and it’s really dangerous
Unless you live in New Jersey or you're a big-time sports bettor, you might not have heard that sports betting is not only legal in the state, but it's now available on your smartphone. And they have a ton of interesting live golf bets. Talk about dangerous.
With the PGA Championship underway, DraftKings is offering live hole-by-hole bets available within its new sportsbook app, which it just launched Aug. 1, making it the first mobile app for sports betting in New Jersey. This might have you calling your friends in the Garden State to put some wagers down for you.
Early on Thursday, hole-by-hole bets were being offered between playing competitors Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy—who are playing in one of the featured groups with Justin Thomas—and Phil Mickelson and Jason Day.
It appears that DraftKings will offer these live hole-by-hole bets for the PGA Championship throughout the weekend. We're worried for all our readers in New Jersey. With these Thursday groups, you coul..
