Watch Justin Verlander knock a tee shot—in the dark—onto the green at TPC Scottsdale’s famous 16th hole

You might be familiar with Justin Verlander being a very strong golfer—the Houston Astros flamethrower has appeared at the AT&T Pebble Beach pro-am in the past and currently boasts a 3.6 Handicap Index. Not too shabby.
Still, we're impressed by the swing Verlander made—in not the most athletic-looking clothes—under the lights on Tuesday night at TPC Scottsdale's famous 16th hole. Sure, there wasn't hundreds of thousands of fans yelling obscenities at him as he played his shot for a potential swing of hundreds of thousands of dollars, but we're assuming there was some pressure nonetheless, given the appearance by the MLB pitcher and the festivities surrounding this week's Waste Management Phoenix Open. Here's the swing:

That looked like a tight little fade that made its way onto the lighted green, as evidenced by Verlander's reaction. The 35-year-old added his own commentary to the shot with a t..

We haven’t even tried Sam Adams’ new Tom Brady beer and we’re already puking

Are you already feeling nauseous from too much Tom Brady the past week or two? From the mic drops, underdog role playing, and unrelenting Barstool drool-fest? Well, this won't do much to settle your stomach. On Thursday, Sam Adams—one of America's pioneering craft breweries and a fixture on the New England tap landscape—is set to release the brand's first-ever Tom Brady beer, the sight of which alone may be enough to send non-Pats fans fumbling for the nearest Uber window. Bottom's up, America.
FacebookPinterestDubbed the “Too Old, Too Slow, Still Here,” the exclusive elixir is a Double New England IPA (think hazy AND hoppy) clocking in at a robust 7.8% ABV. More importantly, however, it has Tom Brady with a goat head plastered on the side of the can, which you can only cop in crowler format if you're one of the first 199 customers to show up at Sam Adams's Jamaica Plains brewery on Thursday 1/21 from 4:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. If 199 seems arbitrary to you, we..

Gregg Popovich says the Suns “got robbed” in fantastic rant following Spurs buzzer-beater

Gregg Popovich is the last person you'd ever expect in sports the world to sugercoat something. That being said, one would still expect the San Antonio Spurs' curmudgeonly coach to show a shred of happiness after his team picked up a win at the buzzer on Tuesday night, right? Wrong.

Following the Spurs' 126-124 win over the Phoenix Suns on a Rudy Gay shot at the horn, Popovich offered this fantastic tirade in which he rips his team and coaching staff, while saying the Suns “got robbed.” Enjoy:

Again, the Spurs won the game. Incredible. Anyway, here's the transcript of this 25-second rip-fest:
“We were really fortunate to win the game. I thought that they out-played us, out-coached us, out-physicaled us, out-executed us. We had no respect for them or for the game. We didn’t play with each other. It was a pathetic performance, and..

Brooks Koepka addresses viral thong pic: “I was trying to pretend like I was some Instagram model”

Even with three major championships under his belt, Brooks Koepka feels he gets overlooked. But the PGA Tour star quickly learned that taking off that belt and replacing it with a purple thong draws plenty of attention.

While enjoying some time off in the Maldives with a crew that included girlfriend Jena Sims, Dustin Johnson, and Paulina Gretzky, Koepka posed for this scantily-clad photo that quickly went viral (WARNING: Brooks' bottom is nearly on full display):
(SECOND WARNING)
(OK, HERE IT IS. . .)
FacebookPinterestGeez, Brooks. If we knew you were that desperate to get invited into the media center. . .
Anyway, Koepka was asked abutt, err, about the photo in Tuesday's press conference ahead of the Saudi International. Here's the full (monty) exchange with a reporter:
Q. Sorry to be the one to bring it up, but can you talk us through the pictures last week and did you get a bit of ribbing on..
