Nick Kyrgios fined €15,000 for doing NSFW stuff with a water bottle while at W

Nick Kyrgios is the most naturally gifted tennis player on earth right now. Don't @ me:

Unfortunately for tennis, Nick Kyrgios is also, in the industry parlance, an enormous douche bag. He's a McEnroe manchild with the work ethic of your cat. He breaks rackets just because he's forgotten what it's like to buy them and once told Stan Warwinka that his girlfriend was sleeping with his best friend mid-match. He's obscene and obscenely entertaining, exactly what tennis needs and the worst thing about it, and this weekend he found a creative new way to not really give a shit at the Queen's Club Championship in London:
FacebookPinterestUnsurprisingly, Kyrgios, who would rather self-destruct than actually lose, pulled off this little stunt in the middle of a straight-set loss to Marin Cilic in the semi-final. After a €15,000 fine for the gesture, the full-grown middle-schooler, who can usually be found on the back..

That crazy story about Ernie Els wrestling Steve Marino on his private jet? Yeah, Els says it’s true

What you know about Ernie Els depends on the circles you travel. You might know him as a four-time major champion and owner of one of the prettiest swings in golf. You could be aware of his remarkable efforts raising money and awareness for autism. Or that he once had a seven-putt at the Masters.
FacebookPinterestBut his penchant for wrestling on airplanes? That's a part of Ernie Els lore that probably won't make his official bio.
For years there's been a story circulating about Els and veteran pro Steve Marino on a flight home from a tournament in Japan in which the two men, both well lubricated, resorted to wrestling in the aisles. The version relayed on a recent Spittin' Chiclets podcast said that Marino accepted the ride on Els' jet unaware of the South African's proclivity for roughing it up after having a few drinks. Then midway through the flight, Els abruptly head-butted him, causing the pilots to intervene, and leaving Marino in a daze the rest of..

For Jeffrey Wright—Bernard on ‘Westworld’— golf is a family affair

Photo by Chris McPhersonROBOGOLFER: Jeffrey Wright at the Oaks Club at Valencia in Southern California. “Westworld,” a show HBO calls a “dark odyssey” about artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, is one of the creepier series on television right now. But actor Jeffrey Wright, who plays the scientist Bernard Lowe, knows reality can be far more sinister than anything you’ll find on stage or screen.
Wright was in the gallery on the 18th hole at Carnoustie Golf Links in 1999, where he witnessed Jean Van de Velde’s epic glitch that cost him the Open Championship. “Golf’s version of the Hindenburg,” Wright calls it. “And then, appropriately, it started to rain. It was just the most miserable, weird, glorious spectacle.”
Wright’s connection to golf’s weird, glorious spectacle runs deep. He started hitting balls at age 4, when his uncle—a scratch golfer—put a cut-down 7-iron in his hands. The club had belonged to Wright’s father, who died when Wright was a year old. As boys, his da..

LeBron James is just a normal sports dad tripping on his son’s first in-game dunk attempt

OK, so maybe there's nothing normal about a four-time MVP, three-time champion, and the greatest NBA player of his generation watching his 13-YEAR-OLD son nearly throw down his first-ever in-game dunk. Most dads only get this excited when their kid gets off the bench and makes a garbage time lay-up in the last game of the season. LeBron James, meanwhile, gets to play proud papa while his kid goes thermo-nuclear on the rim before he's even old enough for a learner's permit. That said, the point—that it's a funny, tender moment between father and son—still stands:
