Watch the Reds and Rockies combine for the worst 20 seconds of baseball in history

Kirk IrwinOn Wednesday the New York Mets and the Baltimore Orioles, two teams that have gone a combined 6-20 in their last 26 games, faced off in the second game of arguably the worst two-game set that will be played in baseball this season. The last-place O's, now 19-41 on the season, won the game 1-0, sweeping the Mets and putting everyone at Citi Field to sleep in the process. Over two games, the Mets scored one run on eight total hits. Some would call it a #BadLook for baseball, yet the ugliest play of the year, and maybe ever, came from the Colorado Rockies-Cincinnati Reds game.
In the top of the eighth, Rockies right fielder Carlos Gonzalez took a pitch to deep right center, and while it was well hit, it was a routine fly ball. Not for the Reds though. What happened next shows you why they own a second-worst record in the league of 21-41:

Golden State Warriors TV station pulls an all-time troll job on the Cavs ahead of Game 3

The Golden State Warriors officially snuffed out any possible drama that remained in this year's NBA Finals with a 110-102 road win against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 on Wednesday night. But while Kevin Durant was the on-court star for the latest step toward an inevitable Warriors title, the team's TV station, NBC Sports Bay Area, was the star off it with this all-time troll job:

St. Jude Classic takes final turn as PGA tuneup for US Open

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) Count Phil Mickelson among those happy to see the St. Jude Classic shift to a World Golf Championship even as he uses the TPC Southwind one final time as a tuneup for the U.S. Open.

”I really, really enjoy this golf course,” Mickelson said Wednesday . ”I think it’s the most underrated on tour. I’m really excited that we are coming back here for a World Golf Championship to end our season-long race next year. It’s quickly become one of my favorite events.”

Mickelson has tied for second twice and tied for third, all since 2013. He wouldn’t mind doing more than just playing well at the PGA Tour’s last stop before the U.S. Open next week at Shinnecock Hills.

”I very much would like to win,” Mickelson said. ”Winning earlier this year meant a lot to me, and I’d love to add a couple more this year and this is an ideal spot to do it. It’s a course that I’ve played well in the past, that rewards good ball-striking, good putting. I know I’ll be..

IHOP is dropping “pancakes” from its name and we don’t know who to trust anymore

Scott OlsonDark days are upon us, friends. Common decency is crumbling, peace is failing, and the International House of Pancakes—the last truly unifying lynchpin of modern society—has officially announced plans to the replace “P” in its iconic “IHOP” with a lower-case “b”. God help us.
https://twitter.com/IHOP/status/1003682801042915328?
The funfetti-before-10am pioneers announced the plans via Twitter on Monday, later confirming to the New York Post that it was an actual rebrand and not some cheap viral stunt like the University Toledo pulled last month, promising working-class Americans that they would change their mascot to Shrek in exchange for 500,000 retweets only to delete their offer an hour later. Damn you, Toledo. DAMN YOU.
What the “b” ultimately stands for remains a mystery, but here are couple of ideas for the actual chimpanzees running IHOP/b's marketing division:
Butter
Bullshit
Beavis
Butthead
Blade
FacebookPinterestBears
Beets
Battlestar Galactica

Tiger Woods leads list of five golfers on Forbes’ 100 highest-paid athletes ranking

Jamie Squire/Getty ImagesTiger Woods hasn't finished on top of a score board since 2013. But Woods is still coming in first when it comes to the bank account.
Forbes released its annual World's 100 Highest Paid Athletes ranking this week, with the 42-year-old ranking 16th on the list at $43.3 million. While that's a far cry from his hey day—for over a decade, Woods was No. 1 overall, hauling in over $100 million on multiple occasions—he's still the top golfer on the list. $42 million come from endorsements, including sponsorship deals with Upper Deck, TaylorMade, Monster Energy, Bridgestone, Hero Motocorp, Nike, and Rolex.
According to Forbes, only Woods, boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. (who earned the crown with $285 million, $275 million from his fight with Conor McGregor) and soccer star Ronaldo have topped the list in the last 18 years.
Aside from Tiger, four other golfers made the ranking: Phil Mickelson at No. 22 ($41.3 million), No. 23 Jordan Spieth ($41.2 million..
