Stan BadzStan BadzThe NBA is back and Charles Barkley has come out of the gates firing. On opening night, the round mound of rebound sounded off on what can stop the Warriors from winning another championship (Natural disasters) and Kevin Durant's reaction to criticism (“He's got thinner skin than Flat Stanley). And the following day, Barkley kept it going when he appeared on the Dan Patrick Show and the subject of Markelle Fultz came up.

The No. 1 pick of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers had an injury-plagued rookie season in which his unorthodox shooting form came under fire. Fultz has spent countless hours in the gym since trying to improve his shot for this season (He was 2-of-7 from the floor in Philadelphia's opening loss to Boston on Tuesday), but Barkley compared the entire situation to something the Hall of Famer struggled with — it just has nothing to do with basketball.

Apparently, it's not enough that us Duke basketball haters have to watch Zion Williamson throw down filthy dunks all season for Coach K on Coach K Court in between Coach K commercials. No, no, Zion, the King of 360s, the Prince of Put-back jams and the Pharaoh of foul-line flights, is going to be doing other magical things as well during his time few months at Duke. Like nonchalantly flipping in buzzer-beaters from two/thirds court.

OK, so it was just a Blue Devils team scrimmage, but it was still absurd. With his side tied, Williamson takes a pass and flips in a 60-footer as the horn goes off, much to the delight of the crowd. Yes, there was a crowd at a practice because the Cameron Crazies are that crazy about their hoops, people! We hear all the time about students camping out in Kryzewskiville to get tickets so they deserve to have arguably the biggest basketball prodigy since LeBron James, OK?! Ug..

We didn't need Charles Barkley to tell us that no one is stopping the Golden State Warriors from winning a third straight NBA title this season, but the man just has a way of conveying that message better than the rest of us. On the NBA's opening night, Barkley revealed the one thing that could possibly stop them on TNT, and it was a typically hilarious Chuck answer.

“Hurricanes, tornadoes, snowstorms, man-made stuff. Something man-made. Chernobyl,” said Barkley, before being interrupted by Shaq and Kenny, then adding, “Typhoons.”
His take is unfortunately quite accurate, and it came on the night Golden State received their championship rings and then opened with a 108-100 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Here's the full clip:

Basketball fans have grown accustomed to hearing Charles Barkley blurt out stuff on the NBA on TNT, but they got a special treat when Kevin Garnett made an appearance on the show during NBA opening night. The 15-time all star and 2004 MVP was asked about the Jimmy Butler situation in Minnesota and KG didn't hold back when talking about Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor.

“He’s dealing with Glen, who doesn’t know s–t about basketball,” Garnett said of Butler during a TNT interview Tuesday night. “He knows how to make money, but he don’t know anything about basketball. I wouldn’t say that he’s the best basketball mind.”
Talk about a not-so-subtle dagger. Watch this clip from the interview below:

Harry HowTuesday night's Game 4 of the NLCS between the L.A. Dodgers and the Milwuakee Brewers was a classic, ending in the bottom of the 13th inning on a Cody Bellinger walk-off single. The Dodgers knotted up the series at 2-2 with the victory, and will have a chance to take back control of the series on Wednesday. Unfortunately, all anyone can talk about is a dirty play from one Manny Machado rather than what actually happened in the game.

The play in question occurred in the bottom of the 10th, when Machado grounded out to third base and clearly kicked Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar on purpose as he ran through the bag:

Jesse D. GarrabrantWelp, the NBA is officially back. On Tuesday night, there was basketball, banners, and wild predictions to make Nostradamus blush, but most importantly, there was a parade of NBA superstars strutting their stuff in the craziest locker-room looks since Cam Newton body-merged with Louis Vuitton. So to celebrate the greatest runway show in sports, join us as we breakdown the best (and most bonkers) fashion statements from NBA Night 1. Needless to say, this only the tip of the mohair fedora.

You don't get to be arguably the best player in NBA history by accident. A lot of behind-the-scenes work goes into each LeBron James game. And yes, Allen Iverson, we're talking about practice.

On the eve of LeBron's first game as a Laker, a video of him hitting a particularly impressive shot in practice went viral and was eventually shared by the King of L.A. on Instagram. In it, LeBron's practice squad is simulating an end-of-game situation in which his team trails by 3 with 7 seconds to play. LeBron gets the inbounds pass and hits a deep 3-pointer while going hard to his left to tie the score. Check it out:

The crazy shots this guy hits during games aren't by accident, folks. Although, one could argue that with 7 seconds, LeBron could have gotten a slightly easier look. . .
