Darren Rovell is Hot Sauce’s latest victim

Darren Rovell is a fine reporter and a fun follow on Twitter, but he is NOT a lockdown NBA defender. This should come as a surprise to exactly no one, but as legendary streetballer Hot Sauce—who has been de-souling random heroes at Hawks games for a while now—proved on Sunday night, sometimes you need to see a thing to believe a thing. Take it away, Twitter:

So first of all, kudos to Rovell for having a sense of humor and treating this like the joke that it so clearly is. A lot of hard dudes have gone out there talking a big game about taking down Hot Sauce in recent weeks, and all of them have left with their egos in a sling. Second of all, Rovell's authentic White Spud Webb get-up deserves a shout-out as well, thanks in large part to those smooth custom warm-..

The fail-safe 2018 March Madness agnostic NCAA bracket guide

John Weast(Photo by John Weast/Getty Images)Forget experts' picks or prediction machines. The only advice you need for winning your office NCAA bracket resides below. Sure, we watched a total of three games this season, but fear not: These tips are time-tested and without bias. (And if they do bomb, well, March Madness, am I right?) Here is your fail-safe 2018 NCAA Agnostic Bracket Guide.
When in doubt, go blue
Fourteen of the last 15 NCAA champions had blue as one of their primary colors. The only exception? Louisville…which just had its title vacated for cheating.
Don’t know where a school’s located? Stay away
Looking at you, Murray State. Same goes for Iona and Radford. (In a related note, why are there zero schools from Ohio in the “Ohio Valley Conference”? That’s like naming a league with 10 schools “the Big 12.” OK, bad example.)
Picking a champion? Go chalk.
Everyone loves a Cinderella story, but 17 of the last 25 NCAA champions have been a No. 1 seed.
Ask your office sec..

AP sources: Woods, Els to captain Australia Presidents Cup

Tiger Woods and Ernie Els will duel in the Presidents Cup again, this time as captains.

Two people involved in the Presidents Cup tell The Associated Press that Woods and Els have agreed to be captains for the 2019 matches in Melbourne. They spoke on condition of anonymity because it has not been announced.

Woods and Els are expected to be introduced as captains Tuesday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

They produced the biggest moment at the Presidents Cup in 2003 in South Africa when they were picked for a sudden-death playoff. They went three holes at Fancourt until it was too dark to continue, and captains Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player agreed the event would end in a tie.

USGA, R&A announce new set of modern rules for golf

Golf now has a modern set of rules for the Royal & Ancient game, an extensive overhaul that took six years and is aimed at making the rules easier to understand.

The R&A and USGA announced the final version of modernized rules on Monday. They take effect in 2019.

”This was out of recognition that in trying to make the rules more fair, they became too complicated,” said Thomas Pagel, the USGA’s senior director of rules and amateur status. ”With 30-plus years of tinkering, they got complicated, and that wasn’t good for the game.”

Among the changes will be how to take penalty drops – from knee-high length starting next year, instead of from shoulder height. There no longer will be penalties if a golf ball accidentally moves on the green, if a club touches the ground in a hazard or if the ball hits a flagstick that is not being tended on the green.

Also, caddies can no longer line up their players while they are setting up over a shot.

This is the most com..

Woods looks closer than ever to winning again

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) The red shirt didn’t have a collar. His head doesn’t have quite as much hair. His lower spine has been fused.

Everything else about Tiger Woods is starting to look familiar.

For the first time since the late summer of 2013, Woods worked the fans into a frenzy on the weekend and keep them on their toes right to the very end. He wound up one shot – one putt – short to Paul Casey in the Valspar Championship. He broke par all four rounds and tied for second, the first time he had done either of those since the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs in August 2013.

All that did was turn attention to this week at Bay Hill, where Woods has won eight times and twice ended long victory droughts.

He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2009 for his first victory after reconstructive knee surgery. He won there again in 2012 for his first victory since the scandal in his personal life, followed by various leg injuries.

Casey ends win drought at Valspar after Woods’ late charge

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) Paul Casey closed with a 6-under 65 and won the Valspar Championship on Sunday after watching Tiger Woods come up one putt short of a playoff.

A highly charged PGA Tour event ended with one player ending a long victory drought, just not the one most fans came to see.

Casey ran off three straight birdies early on the back nine to take the lead, and he closed with tough pars to post at 10-under 274. No one caught him, giving Casey his first PGA Tour victory since the 2009 Houston Open.

Patrick Reed squandered a chance to force a playoff when a long birdie putt rolled 45 feet back to his feet and he three-putted for bogey.

Woods charged up the record crowd with a birdie putt from just inside 45 feet on the 17th hole to get within one shot. He laid well back off the 18th tee and hit his approach from 185 yards to just inside 40 feet. The birdie chance to force a playoff was 2 feet short.

Woods closed with a 1-under 70 and tied for se..
