Tim Tebow suffers ankle injury in most Mets way possible

The New York Mets issues with injuries have become a running joke in the last few years. Even though every MLB club faces these problems, the Amazins just have a way of making everything look worse. Despite not even being a few weeks into Spring Training, the injuries are already piling up, and not even the great Tim Tebow is immune to it.
While a sprained ankle is hardly significant injury, especially for Tebow, who once played on a broken leg in high school, it's the way the Heisman winner suffered the injury that is just classic Mets. According to the New York Post's Mike Puma, it happened in the most Mets way possible:

Mets fans reacted accordingly, in their typical, self-deprecating manner:

Jason Dufner continues to lead the PGA Tour in awesome hats, and it’s not even close

Jason Dufner is still searching for his first top 10 of the season, but he leads the PGA Tour in awesome hats. And it's not even close.
RELATED: Jason Dufner's hat game is an inspiration to us all
On Saturday at the Honda Classic, Dufner donned a cap so cool he managed to even take a little bit of the spotlight from playing partner Tiger Woods. And the story behind the lid was just as good:

Rickie Fowler being the hat's true owner makes sense. That thing was made for rocking on Spring Break, and hopefully, Duf will give it back to him before #SB2K18.
Anyway, Dufner and Woods have been known to do a little trash-talking to each other. But on this particular day, Tiger got the best of him by one shot. Which prompted this fantastic photoshop job:

And the hat even got the T-shirt treatment:

Record-setting Korda wins LPGA Thailand

CHONBURI, Thailand (AP) Florida’s Jessica Korda set a tournament record to win the LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course on Sunday.

Korda held off Lexi Thompson and local hope Moriya Jutanugarn for a four-stroke win after a final-round 67 for an overall total of 25 under 263, smashing the previous mark of 22 under set by Amy Yang of South Korea in 2017.

”It’s an incredible thing to be able to win again. I haven’t won in two years. And who knows? It’s so hard out here. These girls are so good. I mean, look at the scoreboard. I had to shoot 25 under just to win,” said Korda after claiming her fifth LPGA win.

It was Korda’s first trophy since winning in Malaysia in 2015.

Ranked No. 26, Korda had surgery on an overbite in December and was playing in her first tournament since November.

”I just came with no expectations after surgery. It’s really hard for me to move. All this stuff is just still really hard, but I’m really, really happy ..

Pepperell holds off Fisher to win the Qatar Masters

DOHA, Qatar (AP) Eddie Pepperell survived a tense finish to win the Qatar Masters at the Doha Golf Club on Sunday for his maiden European Tour title.

The 27-year-old Englishman held off a spirited challenge from compatriot Oliver Fisher, who needed a third successive birdie on the 18th hole to force a playoff, but had his putt from six feet slip past the hole for a par.

Pepperell shot a 2-under-par 70 for a four-day tally of 18 under 270, while Fisher, who started the day tied for the lead, could only manage a 71.

Sweden’s Marcus Kinhult (68) finished third at 16-under.

The No. 154-ranked Pepperell made things difficult for himself with a bogey on the 15th hole, but hit a superb wedge to three feet on the next to get back to 18 under again.

Fisher, who appeared to have fallen out of contention with three bogeys starting on the third hole, stormed back with birdies on the 14th, 16th and 17th holes.

On the last, Pepperell laid up with his second into th..

List takes 1-shot lead at Honda Classic with Woods 7 back

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) Luke List can understand why he might be overlooked in the Honda Classic, even with a shot at his first PGA Tour victory.

He felt that Saturday while taking the lead.

List and Jamie Lovemark were trading birdies and keeping clean cards on the front nine at PGA National before an audience of no more than a few dozen people. Everyone else was busy watching Tiger Woods try to stay close enough to contention.

”I know I’ll be an underdog going against Justin Thomas and guys like that, which is fine,” List said. ”It’s kind of nice having Tiger in the field now because he takes all the attention off everybody else, so you can just kind of go out and do your own thing.”

His thing was strong enough at PGA National. List finished with a pair of birdies around his lone bogey for a 4-under 66, giving him a one-shot lead over Thomas and Webb Simpson. List was at 7-under 203.

Woods made bogeys on the notorious par 3s on the back nine, a..

Woods shoots 69 and gives himself a chance at Honda Classic

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) Tiger Woods broke 70 on the PGA Tour for the first time in nine rounds since his return from another back surgery. What mattered more to him was having a Sunday that might mean something at the Honda Classic.

Woods had great control in more strong wind Saturday at PGA National and got up-and-down for birdie on the final hole for a 1-under 69. That left him seven shots out of the lead with 10 players in front of him going into the final round.

”I’ve got a shot going into tomorrow,” Woods said.

The scoring was better in the third round, typical after the cut has been made and in this case with fewer footprints on bare greens. Woods did his part by at least having chances. He putted for birdie on all but four holes, and only one of those birdie chances was longer than 25 feet.

He just didn’t make many.

His only birdies were a 6-foot putt on No. 8, a 15-foot putt on the 13th and the tap-in on the par-5 18th. He also made a 20-..

Fisher and Pepperell share lead at Qatar Masters

DOHA, Qatar (AP) Oliver Fisher birdied his last four holes in the Qatar Masters third round to share the lead at Doha Golf Club on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Englishman shot a 7-under 65 for an overall 16-under 200. Eddie Pepperell (66) picked up shots on the 16th and 18th to catch his compatriot and the pair enjoy a two-shot lead over American Sean Crocker (67) in third.

David Horsey (65) was the biggest mover of the day with the Englishman improving 31 places for a share of fourth place at 12 under with, among others, Frenchman Gregory Havret and Italian Andrea Pavan.

Fisher, winner of the 2011 Czech Open, made some stunning putts on his way in. After an eight-footer on the par-4 15th, he then drove the green on the short par-4 16th for an easy birdie, before making a 12-footer on the 17th and a 15-footer on the 18th.

Like Pepperell, Fisher also had just one bogey to show on his card, also on the 12th hole.

”I gave myself some chances coming in and th..

CHONBURI, Thailand (AP) Jessica Korda kept an eye on her younger sister while firing a 4-under 68 in the third round of the LPGA Thailand on Saturday to lead Moriya Jutanugarn by four strokes.

A day after a course-record 62 at Siam Country Club, Korda fought back from a bogey on the front nine with five birdies to finish on 20-under 196 overall. The American was on the 18th hole when concerns over lightning suspended play for 30 minutes before play resumed.

”(I) was playing really well at the end of the season, but I haven’t been in this (leading) position. Being back, it just takes you a little bit of time,” said the 24-year-old Korda, who won her fifth and last title at the LPGA Malaysia in 2015.

Her 19-year-old sister Nelly Korda (65) is eight shots off the lead.
