Can the Eagles keep this ridiculous Patriots Super Bowl stat alive on Sunday?
Maddie MeyerFOXBORO, MA – OCTOBER 22: Head coach Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots speaks with a referee during the first quarter of a game against the Atlanta Falcons at Gillette Stadium on October 22, 2017 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)We don't have to tell you how great the Patriots are, how incredible Belichick and Brady are. How remarkable it is they are in the Super Bowl year after year, and how they'll likely be back next year despite rumors this is their last game together. Or the fact that the majority of their championship wins have been in wild, comeback fashion. Blah, blah, blah, we get it.
However, this latest stat just adds to the legend of the Brady/Belichick era in New England, which will feature an insane eighth Super Bowl appearance on Sunday. It comes courtesy of Golf Channel researcher Justin Ray, and it further proves that no matter what, you can never count out the Patriots:

The Bachelor continues to deliver: This story about the contestant on a missing-persons list is beyond crazy
You don't have to be a fan of ABC's The Bachelor to appreciate the craziness of this story.
Bekah M. has become known to millions of viewers who are watching this season of The Bachelor. Turns out, the 22-year-old reality-show contestant was on a missing-persons list in Humboldt County, Calif., and before spotting her on national TV, Rebekah Martinez, was assumed to be one of 35 people missing in the county. Yes, really.
The bizarre story is reported in The North Coast Journal, and on a show that is full of crazy people fighting for love with someone who they met months earlier, this is near the top of the crazy list.
The publication posted a story this week called The Humboldt 35—asking readers if any of them knew the whereabouts of residents shown via photograph in the story. It didn't take long for viewers to write in, explaining that one of them was a contestant on one of the most popular shows on television. For anyone watching this season with Arie Luyendek Jr. as ..
Matsuyama withdraws from Phoenix Open with left wrist injury
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) Hideki Matsuyama withdrew from the Waste Management Phoenix Open before his second-round tee time Friday because of a left wrist injury, ending his bid to match Arnold Palmer’s record of three straight victories in the event.
Matsuyama opened with a 2-under 69 on Thursday at TPC Scottsdale. The 25-year-old Japanese star has five PGA Tour victories, also winning the World Golf Championships’ HSBC Champions and Bridgestone Invitational last year. He tied for 12th last week at Torrey Pines in San Diego.

According to a survey, 39 percent of people hosting Super Bowl parties skip work the next day
Michelle PedoneThe debate over whether Super Bowl Monday should be declared a national holiday has been around for years. In fact, our Jeff Vrabel made a strong case for swapping it for Presidents Day earlier this week. But one sect of Americans in particular already seems to have made it an unofficial day off: those hosting Super Bowl parties.

According to a recent survey of 1,000 hosts by LendEDU, a whopping 38.9 percent will NOT show up for work the day after the big game. That's a super-sized amount of people playing hooky. Although, it makes sense when you think about it.
Super Bowl parties are a lot of work. And they cost a lot of money, especially when you account for deadbeat guests who show up with nothing more than a bag of half-eaten pretzels. So if you're hosting one, you probably feel like you deserve something in return for staying up past the trophy presentation to clean up the guacamole s..
PGA Tour pro giving out beer money to fans will be the most popular man in Phoenix on Friday
There are three ways a PGA Tour pro can guarantee getting a huge ovation from the massive crowds at the Waste Management Phoenix Open's famed 16th hole:
Hit a great shot.Don the jersey of a local sports hero.Give out beer money.Ryan Palmer is going the third route. Again.
In what's become a tradition in recent years, Palmer will again toss golf balls wrapped in $10 bills to lucky fans in the crowd so they can buy a brewsky, or maybe one of those new Arnold Palmer Spiked Half & Half concoctions. Either way, no one will complain about catching one of these on Friday afternoon:

Just look how happy this guy was after getting one of Palmer's gifts in 2016:

If I were the Mayor of Phoenix, I'd watch out. Ryan Palmer will be the most popular man in all of Arizona this weekend.
