JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) Justin Rose held a three-stroke lead at the Indonesian Masters when bad weather stopped play Friday during the second round.

The Englishman, who shot a 10-under 62 on Thursday, had completed 13 holes and was 5 under on the day at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club course.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat (64) was in second place.

Brandt Snedeker withdrew with an injury or illness on the 11th hole at 2 under for the day after shooting an opening 72.

There was no reason given for his withdrawal, but the American has been affected by a rib-sternum injury for most of the season. Ranked 51st in the world, he flew to Jakarta looking to move inside the top 50 by the end of the year and ensure a spot in next year’s Masters.

Cow escapes Philly nativity scene twice in one morning, presumably needs a break from the in-laws

The holidays can be just as stressful as they are joyous, with finances, family, year-end workload, and Wild Card playoff scenarios driving countless Americans to the ends of their already pretty frayed ropes. Just ask Stormy the cow, who, fed up with the indignities of regular bovine life, escaped a Philadelphia-area nativity not once, but twice on Thursday morning, confounding authorities and delaying the birth of Christ at least a couple of hours.
It all began with her initial escape, after which Stormy was corralled and led back to her lonely studio pen. Not content with her brief respite and seeking just one tiny, insignificant shred of validation for pulling her own weight as a functioning member of livestock society, however, Stormy sprung the locks again and hit I-95 with clear eyes and a full heart…
FacebookPinterestPhilly PD were, understandably, not amused with their second cow-related call of the morning, especially when you factor in it being the same damn cow and all:

All I want for Christmas is a stocking full of gift cards

filoHand holding a gift card.First things first: As a thoughtful and spendy American, I understand the visceral opposition to gift cards. I acknowledge that they represent 30-40% of what stores, elves and my wife call “an actual present,” that they’re damned as sad, limp, pocket-sized indignities that virtually broadcast the phrase, “Happy holidays, and thanks for living by a CVS.” And while I believe that Christmas is a time to live out the Word of God or whoever by showering your lovable with thoughtfully conceived tchotchkes, I also appreciate how none of us do any of that shit, and that the three-plus weeks leading up to Christmas represent an Adderall-powered brown slush-covered quagmire of to-do lists and credit card overages, all of which we participate in because if we don’t, we will probably get broken up with.
To that end, here is my own little war on Christmas: Give me gift cards. All the gift cards. Give me nothing but gift cards. They’re not thoughtful and they’re not sexy..

Brother dramatically “rescues” sister in wrestling match, eternally warms our hearts

Usually by this time of the calendar, the highly-coveted, entirely-fictitious “Video of the Year' is locked up. Until two weeks ago, that seemed to be the case for the professor whose BBC interview was wrecked by his oblivious children and embarrassed wife. But, coming down the final stretch, that clip has seen a wave of formidable competition. First there was the baby adorably re-enacting the Rocky II training montage, followed suit by the two bros fighting city council's ban on house parties. Add a third candidate into the mix: a brother dramatically “rescuing” his sister in her wrestling match.
Dubbed to WWE announcer Jim Ross yelling over Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music:
Three takeaways: 1) Using Ross' “MY GOD!” shriek is never not funny 2) That brother got in a tornado's worth of haymakers before getting pulled off 3) In this overreactive environment, it's a miracle that the rest of the crowd laughed in delight instead of writing an op-ed to ..

PK Subban scores ridiculous center-ice screamer, locks up goal of the year in December

Glenn JamesRemember a few years ago, when Steph Curry exploded into the NBA consciousness, forever altering the game of basketball with a combination of audacious skill and low-swinging cojones that taught defenses there was literally nowhere on the floor that was safe? Well, on Wednesday night Predators all-star defenseman and One of the Few Marketable Hockey Guys™ PK Subban took a page out of Steph's free-firing book, picking up the puck deep in his own zone, turning, and firing a center-ice stinger past Canucks goalie Anders Nilsson and into the back of the presumably still-smoldering net. WARNING: MAY INDUCE SPONTANEOUS HEAD EXPLOSION.

Despite the pure head-in-hands absurdity of those highlights, however, the most shocking thing about this goal is not that Subban scored from center ice—a b..

Grown man cries on phone while saying goodbye to New York radio legend Mike Francesa

(Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images for SiriusXM)On Friday, Mike Francesa, New Yawk's Numbah One sports radio personality for the last 30 years, will air his final show from 1 to 6:30 p.m. ET on WFAN Sports Radio 660 AM (and 101.9 FM). It's an afternoon drive slot he's absolutely owned Monday through Friday since 1989, the last 10 of those years by himself and the prior 19 with his former partner Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo. Don't believe me? Just listen to Mike tell you all about it:

Francesa has plenty of critics, but not even the staunchest of them can deny that he is the greatest to ever do it. As someone who has listened to him for the better part of the last decade, Friday will be a sad day not only for me, but for mos..

This sad tweet sums up the pathetic existence of the Miami Marlins

Mike EhrmannMIAMI, FL – AUGUST 25: Giancarlo Stanton #27 of the Miami Marlins hits a two run home run in the first inning during a game against the San Diego Padres at Marlins Park on August 25, 2017 in Miami, Florida. (Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)The never-ending rebuild for the Miami Marlins is a sports travesty. Actually, “rebuild” is the wrong nomenclature, for that implies hope. And there is no hope for this maligned franchise.
For only the Marlins can see an ownership change from Jeffrey Loria—a man who had a six percent approval rating and was once named the “worst man in sports”—to a group that somehow makes things worse. Before the ink dried on the property title exchange, new ownership (backed by Bruce Sherman's fortune with Derek Jeter serving as public puppet) traded reigning MVP Mike Giancarlo Stanton to the New York Yankees.
Which, in and of itself, is somewhat defensible: Stanton was making a boatload of money, and a player of his caliber should bring back a ..

My day (and night) at the backyard golf hole of a man who builds backyard golf holes

An overlooked aspect of any great backyard golf hole is the backyard itself. As obvious as that may seem, I fully realize this as I’m white-knuckling a golf cart that keeps climbing through the semi-wilderness behind Michael Lehrer’s Armonk, N.Y. home. Lehrer is leading this unexpected safari while bubbling with a mix of energy and pride — “You’re going to love this!” — and when we finally reach our destination unscathed, I’m happy to unclench and examine the surroundings.
“How much land do you have?” I ask after adjusting to being on solid footing and possibly, the new altitude.
“I have enough for what I do,” Lehrer responds with a smirk.

What he does is build backyard golf holes as the president and founder of Home Green Advantage. And his property is part showroom, part personal playground, and all spectacular. Our trek has taken us to the highest point of his land and now we’re looking straig..
