Anthony Rizzo showed up to the Chicago Cubs’ plane in full uniform, for some reason
Listen, the baseball season is long. Six weeks of spring training, 162 regular-season games, another month of postseason play…not exactly a show that fits in society's hyperactive attention span. So when the season reaches mid-September, it's understandable that teams need something, anything to make things interesting.
Which perhaps explains why Chicago Cubs first basemen Anthony Rizzo dressed up in full uniform for the club's flight to Washington, D.C. for a make-up game against the Nationals.

Given the short turnaround—the Cubs played Wednesday night, are scheduled to play the Nats at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday then head back to the Windy City for a three-game set with the Cincinnati Reds—perhaps Rizzo was trying to be efficient with his time. After all, man even worse his cleats onto the flight.
Or, being a Joe Maddon team, Rizzo was simply trying to breathe some life into an increasingly lifeless game.

Rejoice for Friday is “National 4pm Finish Day”
Melinda PodorHashtag holidays are usually pretty stupid—flimsy excuses to slug down margaritas and/or flood your bros' feeds with kitten gifs, as if you're not doing that already. The world already had plenty of holidays to keep up with, we really didn't need National Ambidextrous Mint Chocolate Chip Lovers Day or whatever. But this is 2018 and we all need to find happiness wherever the hell we can, and this week that means knocking off an hour early to celebrate…National 4pm Finish Day!?
FacebookPinterestDoing little to ease our concerns about these “holidays” being strictly designed to move product, National 4pm Finish Day is the brainchild of heart arrhythmia purveyors Red Bull, who want you to use that extra hour (or two, because NYC) to “Grab a Red Bull, smash through your work and then get down to more important business, like enjoying the weekend.” If you use those 60 minutes to buy a mountain bike and a Jeep, then kudos, you're really getting into the fest..
Ric Flair got married for the 5th time by walking down the aisle to his own entrance music
Frederick M. Brown(Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)Last fall wrestling legend Ric Flair was the subject of an ESPN 30 for 30 profile. Well, not so much a profile as a platform for Flair to brag about his drinking and sexual prowess. Among the highlights were Flair's claim he bedded 10,000 women, earning a nod of the cap from Wilt Chamberlain, and that he averaged 15 libations per day for two straight decades.
Alas, all cowboys must hang up the boots at some point. Ostensibly for Flair, that happened Wednesday when he married Wendy Barlow in a private ceremony. This is the fifth time Flair said, “I do,” and you may wonder how someone celebrates once-in-a-lifetime moment that's, um, happened more than once. In Flair's case, that meant walking down the aisle to your own entrance music.

As one who just got married in the past year, it's upsetting to know aviators, a white jumpsuit and rap music were too..
