An Arnold Palmer bottle of Ketel One vodka? In honor of The King’s birthday, you can now buy one
Sure, Arnold Palmer will always be associated with the iced-tea and lemonade drink. And rightfully so—the simple but delicious concoction is an effective way to honor one of America's most famous athletes for decades to come.
Lesser known than Arnie's affinity for mixing iced tea and lemonade might be his tendency to relax with a vodka on the rocks (with a lemon, or a twist, for the initiated). To honor Palmer with his birthday coming up (he would've turned 89 on Sept. 10), Ketel One has released a limited-edition Arnold Palmer Collector’s Edition bottle ($25 for a 750 ML bottle, $32 for a one-liter bottle), just as it did last March after the passing of The King, to commemorate the brand's relationship with Palmer.

Golfer not allowed to play because of his socks (Seriously. This really happened.)
Sam GreenwoodThis is a true story. We begin by saying that because your first thought will probably be This CAN'T possibly be a true story. But it is! A recreational golfer was turned away from playing a course because of his socks, specifically, the color of his socks. Again, this is a true story.

Thanks to our friends at Bunkered for sharing this tale of woe woven material. It seems a man named David Cole showed up to play Letchworth Golf Club in Hertfordshire (UK) and was told he wouldn't be allowed to play with the black socks he was wearing. Here's Cole's tweet at the club (We assume he meant “sports”):

When the club responded by confirming its Wimbledon-esque dress code included no black socks, but that Cole should have been offered the chance to change them, he tweeted this:

Meet Kirk, a border collie who loves watching tape of herself winning championships
Feeling good about yourself is a good thing. Taking pride in your work and being able to pat yourself on the back once awhile is healthy and absolutely vital if you plan to make this thing worth all the hassle. Many humans struggle with this concept, but not Kirk, because Kirk is a dog. Kirk isn't just any dog, however—she is the 2017 Purina Incredible Dog Challenge champion and, now, thanks to this hilarious video, a viral pet sensation. Check it out:

That's Kirk watching her winning run from the aforementioned Incredible Dog Challenge. She's not worried about appearing narcissistic or egomaniacal. She's not feigning modesty or fishing for compliments. She's a border collie and she's hyped on herself and, you know what, I think we could all learn something from that. I'm not saying stash a sharpie in your sock before you head to the office, but once in awhile, crack something nicer than a B..
